Story
Squiggy would love to join your family! He is a sweet little fellow that was surrendered to a shelter in Texas. Now that he is here in Wisconsin, Squiggy is ready for his second chance! He can be a bit timid around new people and dogs, but with some time and tasty snacks (he loves chicken!) he will become your best buddy! He asks for lap time and has a calm temperament. When taken out on a schedule, Squiggy is good about not having any accidents in the house.apply at wbdr.org

Meet Hemingway Nickname: Hemmy Breed: Chihuahua Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Senior Weight: 8 lbs Fun fact: He likes to sit on your shoulder like a parrot. He’s looking to help you live out your pirate dreams, ahoy me matey! Foster home: Madison, WI Activity level: Moderate Friendly with: Dogs, preferably of similar size (not cat tested). Small children/fast movements scare him, so a home without children is best for Hemingway. Sleep style: Curled up in crate overnight, couch napped during the day Meals: 1/4 cup of kibble in AM and PM Snore-o-meter: 0/10 Bark-o-meter: 1/10 Shedding meter: 1/10 Best feature: His gorgeous coloring Signature color: Teal blue, makes his chocolate brown fur “pop” Walk out song: Paparazzi - Lady Gaga Favorite season: Summer, loves fun in the sun and the heat. Classic chi! Personality: Snuggly, curious, protective, Velcro pup Loves: To be near his people, snacks, exploring the yard, sunbathing Bucket list: Writing the next great American novel Neutered ✅ Microchipped ✅ Housebroken when kept on schedule ✅ Takes treats gently ✅ Crate trained ✅ UTD on vaccinations ✅ UTD on preventatives ✅ Hemingway is a sweet little guy with big dog energy. He does not like quick movements or being grabbed at (will nip) and tends to “guard” his person. Because of this, he would do best in a home without kids. When he feels safe, he’s a cuddle bug! Hemingway is ready for his forever home, could you be the right home for him? Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
Meet Vicente, a small Chihuahua mix who came to us as a stray from Milwaukee. Like many Chihuahuas, Vicente can be a little shy at first, but with patience and a gentle approach, he begins to warm up and reveal his sweet, sensitive nature. He’s still adjusting to his new environment, so he’ll need someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him go at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, Vicente enjoys his walks—his tail starts wagging and he lights up with curiosity. He loves rolling in the grass and taking in the world at his own rhythm. He’s been quiet and well-mannered, and so far he seems indifferent to both dogs and cats, happy to coexist without much fuss. We’re still getting to know more about Vicente—his preferences, his quirks, and his ideal home—but he’s already shown us that he has the potential to be a loyal, loving companion. He’s looking for a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and start his next chapter with the comfort and stability he truly deserves. All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough.
