We’re looking for the perfect one-on-one home for Cheese, our 6-year-old Pomchi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix) with the sweetest soul and the funniest personality. Cheese has all of his shots, is potty trained, incredibly smart, playful, and full of charm. He’s the kind of dog that makes you laugh without even trying — wise beyond his years, silly when he’s comfortable, and a huge cuddle bug. He truly wants to be wherever you are and will happily go anywhere with you. He does get along with other dogs and can absolutely do play dates, but he truly thrives in a single-dog home where he can soak up one-on-one attention. We would keep him in a heartbeat, but we know he would do best being someone’s only dog. Cheese came from a home that didn’t treat him very well, and because of that, every bit of love and affection you give him, he soaks up completely. Once he bonds with you, his loyalty is unmatched. We want to make sure he finds a calm, loving home that understands his he finds a calm home

Meet Sheldon 🕺Sheldon is a 13yr old, 6lb, Chihuahua. You may say Sheldon is old, but you would never know, except he does sleep a lot. Sheldon loves his people, and believe it or not he loves to play. Sheldon is blind, but that doesn’t bother him and he learns his area quickly. Sheldon will lay on his back and loves to “wrestle”. Sheldon loves his belly rubbed,he gets so excited, it usually ends up being gentle wrestle play. Sheldon does sleep a lot, I call it power naps for his next play session. If you are looking for an older dog with still some play in him Sheldon is your guy. Sheldon loves to be held, and would make a great travel buddy since he really doesn’t care what’s going on around him as long as he is with his people. Sheldon is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on his rabies vaccine.

     Female Chihuahua mix&#226&#156&#168 Meet Nula! &#226&#156&#168Nula is a 7-year-old, 9-lb Chihuahua mix currently fostered in the East San Francisco Bay Area. She is spayed, parasite-free, and up to date on all vaccinations.   For adoption inquiries, please email beourpet@gmail.com Or fill out an application at www.beourpet.org   Nula is an incredibly sweet pup, but she is unfortunately terrified of men. We don’t know what may have happened in her previous life to have caused this fear, but she would prefer to go to a home either with just women or with someone who’s incredibly patient about earning her trust.   Once she feels safe, Nula is a total love bug. She adores cuddling, sleeping under the covers, and starting her mornings upside down asking for belly rubs. She’s always happy, loves giving affection, and happily soaks it right back up.   Her favorite activity is playing with toys! She’ll happily fetch and bring them back for more playtime. Her foster mom will send her favorites with her. Nula is currently fostered with her sister and they get along very well, but they do not need to be adopted together.   Food? Nula isn’t picky at all—she’ll happily eat whatever you offer and loves all treats. She’s also great on car rides. She hasn’t had much exposure to other dogs and can react fearfully, so she’ll need a patient adopter to help her work through that. She enjoys visitors but can be nervous around loud or boisterous children, so a home without young kids is recommended.   Nula is walked daily by her foster mom and continues to work on her outdoor manners. Potty training is going very well—she’s about 75% trained to use the doggy door and will also use a potty pad if available.   Bird watching is her favorite outdoor hobby, and she’ll definitely let you know when seagulls land on your deck. She’ll even help the neighbors know when the trash or UPS drivers are coming!   All in all, Nula is a joyful pup with a big personality. With a little patience and understanding, she’ll make an incredible companion and family member. GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Yes, we think so Crate Trained?: Unknown Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: No Good with cats?: Unknown Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: Yes Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee.
