Moonie is a 7 month old pup, she’s super sweet and playful. She’s a biggg cuddler and will want to be by your side 24/7. Im looking for someone who will give her lots of attention and love. I would prefer the adopter to have puppy experience since I am letting go of one of my babies. I’m currently pregnant and figured it would be best to rehome Moonie to a new loving home. Moonie is currently learning to be potty trained, she knows how to use her puppy pads but needs more encouragement for outdoor training. Hoping Moonie will find a new loving family who will love her as much as we do.

Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Izzy is a beautiful, sweet, loving, and extremely dedicated dog. She has had regular check ups with the Healthy Pet Clinic at the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia. She is a Pit Bull mix, white with brown spots on her coat and her ears have distinctive black spots reminiscent of a Dalmatian and are absolutely adorable. I believe she is about 9 years old and weight 76 lbs on her last clinic visit. She is very sweet, loving, and dedicated dog to her family and protective of her home. When new people come into her home we isolate her and gradually assimilate her to the new person then she adapts. She is dog aggressive, barks and growls and might charge if not on her leash. She has been an indoor dog (no fencing) and goes out in her leash; she is very good and obedient (does not pull or yank). When she does see a dog, she will bark, but when told “no” she stops and ignores the other dog. She is wonderful with my 7 year old granddaughter and just loved attention. A great companion.

Oreo was wandering our street around 7/22. We are unsure of his age but we believe he is between 2-4 years old. We found out from neighbors he has been wandering around the street since May, but he got hit by a truck. Our neighbor helped him heal but they could not keep him. When we picked him up, we learned that he is the sweetest pup. He loves other dogs and loves cats. He has not had any accidents since he’s been in both of our care. The best home for him is a home that he has another friend. He cries when he isn’t around other pets and cries when he is in a cage for too long. He does need more leash training and recall training. He is an amazing cuddle bug and the sweetest thing ever and we hope to find him an amazing home!
