BIO: This one will keep you on your toes! She loves running around with toys in her mouth especially if she can steal them from the dryer. Oh, and she’ll help you pull stuff out of the dryer but she won’t help you fold them, that’s up to you but she’s off with a sock or anything she can get her mouth on and then the chase is on.
It’s hard to believe that she is a retired breeder dog as friendly as she is but understand she will still need help with housebreaking and learning to walk on a leash. If you have the patience and want to add some spice into your life then she would be perfect for you!
Our must haves for Rudy are:
A fenced in yard
Someone that can be home more than not
Another small adult playful dog that doesn’t mind her stealing their toys
No apartments, high rises or condos
If you are interested in giving Rudy her last home than it’s important that you fill out the online adoption application right away because she won’t last long we can promise you that, oh and she loves attention and is a bit of an attention hog.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten.

There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered.
We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures.
