Story
Suki, a Chiweenie is four years old. We adopted her from Atlanta Humane in early 2023. Suki loves to be rubbed and showered with attention. Fetch is her favorite activity! She knows & understands simple commands (i.e. yes, no, come here, wait, outside & treat- her favorite). She enjoys sunbathing and being outside with the family. She is also crate trained and knows it as her “bed” & is house trained. Like most dogs, Suki has great hearing and barks whenever she hears something or someone she’s unfamiliar with. She definitely lets the house know (by barking) when someone is at the door or comes to visit. She’s not a fan of baths or the vacuum cleaner. Suki was diagnosed with IVDD in late September which caused temporary paralysis. She’s recovered and is back walking. She has a little wobble when running, sometimes causing her to fall down but she’s able to get up immediately. Up-to-date with Rabies vaccine only.

Effy is an adorable Chihuahua/Corgi Mix looking for her forever family! She was born 6-18-23, and weighs just 22lbs. This deserving girl had a rough start to life, as she was rescued from a hoarding case in Floyd County, GA along with her best friend Bryn (dark). She is learning all about the good life in her foster home and is thriving! Effy is gentle, sweet, and timid. She is eager to explore and play, and loves to sit in your lap. She&#39s a quick learner and has picked up on her house training, crate training, and walks great on a leash. Her foster Mom says she has the best personality - she is silly and fun loving, and will keep you laughing all the time! Effy is good with other dogs, and is likely cat friendly too (would need to be tested). She is a bonded pair with Bryn (dark), and they will need to be adopted together. Effy needs a fenced yard, and would do well in any household. Effy is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Meet Jay Jay and Gee Gee, the cutest bonded pair you&#39ve ever seen! This adorable and loving duo were picked up as strays and spent time at an overcrowded Atlanta shelter before coming to BarkVille Dog Rescue. We are committed to keeping these two best friends together in their forever home. Jay Jay is a Gray Pitbull/Mix who is a mature gentleman, weighing 80lbs. His age is estimated to be around 11yr, however he acts much younger and has lots of life left to live! Jay Jay has a sweet and gentle demeanor, and loves to be near his people. He enjoys going on car rides, sunbathing in his fenced yard, and cuddling by your side. Jay Jay does have some arthritis, however it is easily kept under control with daily medicine. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Gee Gee (also known as Georgie) is a petite and loving Chihuahua/Mix. He&#39s estimated to be around 4yr old, and weighs just 10lbs. Gee Gee loves to play with his best friend Jay Jay, chase squirrels in his fenced yard, or he&#39s happy to be curdled up in your lap! He is working on his potty training, and has a medium energy level. Gee Gee also enjoys the company of the other dogs in his foster home, and is a just a friendly little love bug! This dynamic and sweet duo deserve a forever family that will provide them with lots of love and security for the rest of their days! They enjoy being near their people and are extremely loving, so a family that is home often and is looking for loyal companions would be an ideal fit. Meet Zsa Zsa, an adorable Chiweenie/Miniature Pinscher! She is estimated to be around 2yr old, and weighs 22lbs. She was part of an unwanted litter that was living in a pen outside in Rome, GA. They were surrendered to BarkVille Dog Rescue, and she is learning all about the good life in her foster home! This sweet girl can start off a little shy, but once she warms up, she is friendly and fun loving! Zsa Zsa gets along well with dogs and cats! Zsa Zsa would love a forever home with another dog or cat, and a fenced yard where she can spend time exploring and doing zoomies. Due to her shy nature, a home with older/no kids would be ideal. She is potty trained, walks well on leash, and knows some of her basic commands. Zsa Zsa is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
