Story
Hi there! My name is Jolene. I won't take your man, but I sure will steal your heart! I am the sweetest chihuahua mix puppy, and even though I may be little, I have a big, happy heart full of love. I am super affectionate and absolutely love to give kisses and snuggles, showing the cutest hops and jumps whenever I get excited. I am currently living in a foster home with four bigger dogs and just go with the flow. They give me my space, and I have learned to respect them, following them around and learning the ropes of being a dog. I have some fellow small breed doggy friends next door who I also get along with.
I thoroughly enjoy sniffing around and exploring the backyard, where I like finding sticks and leaves to chew on. I absolutely love chewing on bones, playing with toys, and have happily played fetch with balls and toys since the very first day I arrived in Minnesota. Sometimes I get the zoomies and run really fast, which always makes my foster mama laugh. I have already mastered hopping up and down the stairs, as well as jumping off the bed when I am super excited. I also love treats and have a great little appetite.
When it comes to my routine, I go potty outside with all the big dogs and always use the potty pad in my pen when I am inside. I do still get small throw rugs confused with the pads sometimes, but I am learning every day! I am not a big fan of being left in the crate when the humans have to leave the house for a while. I can bark and whine pretty loud to let them know how I feel, but I am learning that being alone sometimes is okay, so I eventually settle down after a bit and take a nap.
I am a true master snuggler who loves to take naps with my foster mama, snuggling right up against her neck. I also do a little jump when I want to be held, and then I will just curl up in a lap and fall asleep. Being so little, I am nervous in new situations because the world around me is so BIG!! However, I warm up really quickly. I would love to be someone's sidekick while you work from home or go for rides in the car and visit places! I can sleep in my crate at night next to the bed without making a peep, but I would rather sleep with you in bed to be close. My foster mama says I am pretty perfect, and I would have to agree!
