She was malnourished, limping and in severe pain.We took Pepper to the Urgent care and they told us that she was shot with a BB and it shattered her hip (femoral head) in 10 pieces.You could literally hear her hip crunch. She was in pain and suffered this way for a long time. She was full of fleas and ticks.She had FHO surgery and is now doing great!Pepper is a 2 year old and weighs about 12 lbs. She loves to have fun and run and play with her furry friends!Pepper needs some time to warm up to strangers but with some treats she can become their best friend!! MEET LIZZIE Sadly, Lizzie was running in traffic and was inches from being killed by four cars! A rescuer jumped out of her car and ran after her and found the owner. Sadly, Lizzie's owner said they got a newer bigger dog and didn't want her anymore. We can't figure out why! She is a sweetie! Lizzie is about one year old and weighs about 8lbs. Lizzie is a cuddler and loves to be with her person and is a "Stage Four" clinger! She loves toys and to play. She is great with other dogs and cats! Lizzie needs a foster or an adopter! Meet Pretzel, a handsome 8 month old Dachshund/ Chi mix. Pretzel is a lovable pup that thrives upon affection. He loves to run and play especially with other dogs. If cats are friendly, he will play with them as well. He loves toys and would make a fantastic companion. He is shy in the beginning but like most puppies when they see that your sweet he opens up. He has the cutest dachshund ears that everyone loves! He really feeds off of the confidence of another dog and has a more submissive personality. Though we think he would be fine as an only dog also. He will need a family that has patience to build up his confidence and give him lots of love. He will need a home with a secure backyard. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and current on prevention. He still needs some help with potty training but a family with patience and consistency he will catch on quickly. He is crate trained. He is a sweet lovable boy that is ready for his forever family. An adopter that is home more than not would be ideal. Story
Sammee is the most handsome dog you'll ever meet. He's so sweet and loving to his people! When meeting new people, he is timid. He doesn't like to meet them on a leash (we think he had some past traumas). When we have him meet people in our home, we usually put Sammee in his kennel, let everyone come in and get settled, and then bring him out. He does great that way! He will be your best friend, try and sit in your lap, and get all the attention! We groom him ourselves so we don't know how he does at a groomers. When we leave the house, he is used to being out with doggie door access. He is good in the crate for a couple hours at a time, but not a full day. Just beware of any food left out he will get into it! We are hoping we can find someone looking for a loving, cuddly, teddy bear to love him how he deserves!
