Meet Pretzel, a handsome 8 month old Dachshund/ Chi mix. Pretzel is a lovable pup that thrives upon affection. He loves to run and play especially with other dogs. If cats are friendly, he will play with them as well. He loves toys and would make a fantastic companion. He is shy in the beginning but like most puppies when they see that your sweet he opens up. He has the cutest dachshund ears that everyone loves! He really feeds off of the confidence of another dog and has a more submissive personality. Though we think he would be fine as an only dog also. He will need a family that has patience to build up his confidence and give him lots of love. He will need a home with a secure backyard. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and current on prevention. He still needs some help with potty training but a family with patience and consistency he will catch on quickly. He is crate trained. He is a sweet lovable boy that is ready for his forever family. An adopter that is home more than not would be ideal. She was malnourished, limping and in severe pain.We took Pepper to the Urgent care and they told us that she was shot with a BB and it shattered her hip (femoral head) in 10 pieces.You could literally hear her hip crunch. She was in pain and suffered this way for a long time. She was full of fleas and ticks.She had FHO surgery and is now doing great!Pepper is a 2 year old and weighs about 12 lbs. She loves to have fun and run and play with her furry friends!Pepper needs some time to warm up to strangers but with some treats she can become their best friend!! She doesn’t bark much and loves relaxing beside you or being a lap dog. She can do well with cats or other dogs. We are rehoming Lady because she has ongoing allergies that affect her skin and cause an odor. She scratches and bites at her skin throughout the day and needs consistent care. She has seen a vet and requires regular/weekly baths with medicated shampoo and continued skin care. Unfortunately, we can no longer keep up with the maintenance and veterinary costs she needs. After recent back surgery, he needs more attention, rest, and love than ever — and with a toddler at home who needs our full focus right now, we can't give him what he deserves. He's been through a lot and come out the other side, and he deserves a home that can fully show up for him. What we're looking for: someone (or a family) with a calm, low-key home — no small children — who has the time and heart to love an older, recovering dog.
