Meet Teddy Gram (ACCT-A-252365)! This handsome fellow is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can truly blossom. Teddy Gram is a bit of a "refined gentleman"—he can be shy and independent when meeting new people, but his sweet side is well worth the wait.
On a leash, Teddy Gram is a dream. He walks nicely without pulling and is a polite companion for outdoor strolls. He also has a gentle touch when it comes to treats, taking them softly from your hand. While he may be aloof at first and value his personal space, he has shown moments of sweetness, even offering gentle licks once he feels a bit more comfortable.
Because Teddy Gram is a sensitive soul who can become overwhelmed in new environments, he is looking for an adult-only home. He would thrive best with an adopter who has experience with independent or aloof breeds and understands how to give him the time and space he needs to adjust. Steerable 4 with water. Came in and sniffed around first. Mingled greeting other dogs loose body then went on his own around the yard.

yesterday i offered him some food from my hand and he took it gently, same from other people! Pet him on his back, unfazed and ignored me. Was heavy panting, eyes darting

Went to see Teddy in his crate. He was lying down, tense. I opened the crate door and he backed up. I put the leash loop over his head, he ducked but it will went over. Took him outside. He did very well walking with another dog. They sniffed eachother and then ignored eachother (and me). Teddy walked nicely on the leash, not pulling. We stopped at the office and got another dog, and went into the large playyard together. Teddy sniffed the other dogs, and for about fifteen minutes or so they would go between sniffing eachother (Teddy would lick the other dog's face), and then wandering off their separate ways. Teddy walked by me and I pet him, he didn't react aside from continuing to walk. At one point one of the other dogs went up and put his head over Teddy's neck, Teddy just turned his head a tiny bit. The other dog growled, Teddy walked away and the other dog followed, posturing. I went up and heard the growl again and told him to knock it off, and stepped on his leash. Teddy trotted off. We put Teddy in an office and he ignored the staff member and then when they left he scratched at the door. We put him in an office with another dog, he walked around then went and started to try to get out of the baby gate. I put him back in his crate, he balked a bit at going in but did go in but turned around - I had squatted down to get the leash off him, and he gently put his paw on my knees and licked my face. However it was more of a stress behavior, he was still stress panting and trying to duck to go out past me. I shut the crate door and he start panting more and jumping up on the crate door.
