Story
Meet Jinjer - Your Fun-Loving Fetch Champion Jinjer is a sweet, playful girl who brings joy everywhere she goes. She absolutely lives for her toys, especially balls, and could happily play fetch from sunrise to sunset. If you're looking for a dog who will keep you smiling and keep you moving, she's your girl. Jinjer does well with other dogs and enjoys having buddies to romp around with. Because she's energetic and enthusiastic in her play style, she would do best in a home with older kids who can match her fun, bouncy personality. When she's not chasing a ball, Jinjer is affectionate, people oriented, and always ready for attention from her humans. She's the perfect mix of spirited and sweet, and she's ready to bring laughter, love, and lots of playtime to her forever family. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Jinjer is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.July 27, 2026, 1:46 am

Story
Meet Kit Kat  Kit Kat is a 1.5-year-old, 50-pound Chow Chow/Cattle Dog mix with an incredible story of resilience and a heart that’s learning every day that people can be trusted. Kit Kat came to us when she was about 5 months old after surviving on the streets her entire life alongside her siblings. Because they had very little exposure to people during those important early months, they came into rescue extremely under-socialized and unsure of the world around them. Since then, Kit Kat’s foster family has poured countless hours into helping her build confidence, and the transformation has been nothing short of amazing. We are so incredibly proud of how far she’s come, and she continues to make progress every single day. Kit Kat would thrive in a home with at least one confident, friendly dog. She absolutely loves other dogs and learns so much by watching them. Having a canine companion to play with, snuggle with, and help show her the ropes is one of the most important things her forever home can provide. While Kit Kat is quicker to trust dogs than people, once you earn her trust, you’ll discover an incredibly affectionate, loving companion. She loves snuggling with her dog friends, rolling around in the grass, showing off the cutest zoomies, and enjoying a tasty treat or two. Why you’ll love Kit Kat: Sweet and affectionate once she trusts you Loves other dogs Would thrive with a confident canine companion Loves rolling in the grass Adorable zoomies Food motivated and eager to learn Medium energy Crate trained Potty trained Kit Kat can be timid in new environments and around new people, but she’s never shown fear aggression. When she’s unsure, she simply chooses to create distance rather than react. She’ll need an adopter who understands that trust is earned, not rushed, and who is willing to let her move at her own pace. She’s potty trained but may have an occasional nervous accident if she’s pushed into a new situation too quickly. She’s also crate trained. While she can be nervous walking on a short, taut leash, she does wonderfully on a longer leash where she has a little more freedom to feel comfortable and secure. Kit Kat hasn’t had the opportunity to freely interact with cats, but she has calmly observed them while crated and has shown no desire to chase or react to them. Although Kit Kat missed out on important early socialization, she has made truly remarkable progress in rescue. Every week she becomes a little braver, a little more confident, and a little more trusting. We have no doubt that with a patient adopter, another friendly dog, and continued positive experiences, Kit Kat will blossom into an incredible lifelong companion. Watching a dog like Kit Kat learn that the world isn’t such a scary place is one of the most rewarding experiences imaginable. Whoever gives this special girl the chance she deserves is going to witness something truly beautiful. Apply to adopt Kit Kat here:https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/70992/generic Kit Kat is located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. We coordinate safe transport and offer video meet-and-greets to ensure it’s the perfect fit. ##2637346##

Story
My name is Midnight, a young handsome fellow looking for a family to call my own. I am house trained and I get along great with dogs and cats! I am good with children and love to play. I already know basic commands like sit, stay, and down, and am described as incredibly sweet, goofy and friendly. My favorite pleasures are Toro chews, cheese (who doesn't LOVE cheese?), squeaky toys and tug of war toys. I love to go on walks and am looking forward to another playful dog and young family to play with me.

Story
Meet Bird (aka "Bird the Turd")! Don't let the nickname fool you—Bird is a super handsome 2-year-old boy who is ready to find his permanent "nest." He is a sweet, goofy, and incredibly entertaining guy who is guaranteed to keep you laughing. The "Teenager" Phase At two years old, Bird is essentially a teenager. He can be a little hard-headed at times, but he’s also brilliant and highly treat-motivated. He thrives with a gentle leader, a calm voice, and a little bit of reassurance. Once he knows he’s safe and has your confidence, his true "heart of gold" shines through. Bird’s Favorite Things Bird is all about living life to the fullest. His ideal day includes: Being Your Co-Pilot: He rides beautifully in the front seat and loves a good car ride. Staying Active: He loves walks, playing fetch, and "window watching" the world go by. Snuggle Time: After he lets loose and has a good time, he is a total professional at snuggling. Friends & Family Dogs: He can be a little wary when first meeting new dog friends, but once he realizes they’re okay, he’s solid as a rock. He enjoys playful companions but is also perfectly happy being your "solo pup" if you’re home more often than not. Cats: He does well with "cool" cats who don't run. He’s curious and might try to sniff or encourage them to play! Kids: He loves children! However, he is a "big oaf" who can get rowdy when he’s happy and overstimulated. Because he doesn't quite realize his own size, he’d be a best fit for older or experienced kids. The "Three-Week" Rule Bird is a sensitive soul who needs a little time to adjust. It takes him about two to three weeks to fully settle into a new home and routine. He is looking for a patient family who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for. Please don't break his heart—give him the time he needs to show you what an amazing companion he can be! Fast Facts Age/Stats: 2 years old | Neutered | Microchipped | Vaccinated House Manners: Crate and potty trained. On the Go: Does well on a leash once he gets into a routine. Personality: Goofy, smart, and a little bit clumsy. Bird is ready to give you his whole world. Are you ready to be his best friend? Apply today to meet this one-of-a-kind guy! ##2008854##
