Once I know I’m safe and loved, I’m hoping to show you the sweet personality hiding underneath my shy exterior. Come meet me from 12 PM to 6 PM, open every day. Details

Story

Stephen is a 2-year-old Chow Chow who prefers to take things at his own pace. He is still adjusting to the shelter environment and has shown that he can be uncomfortable with close interaction and handling, so he’ll need plenty of space and time to feel secure. Stephen does walk well on leash and would benefit from a patient, understanding adopter who can respect his boundaries and allow trust to develop without rushing him. A calm, consistent approach will be important as Stephen settles in and gets more comfortable with the people around him. Contact us about Stephen today!

Story

Meet Bird (aka "Bird the Turd")! Don't let the nickname fool you—Bird is a super handsome 2-year-old boy who is ready to find his permanent "nest." He is a sweet, goofy, and incredibly entertaining guy who is guaranteed to keep you laughing. The "Teenager" Phase At two years old, Bird is essentially a teenager. He can be a little hard-headed at times, but he’s also brilliant and highly treat-motivated. He thrives with a gentle leader, a calm voice, and a little bit of reassurance. Once he knows he’s safe and has your confidence, his true "heart of gold" shines through. Bird’s Favorite Things Bird is all about living life to the fullest. His ideal day includes: Being Your Co-Pilot: He rides beautifully in the front seat and loves a good car ride. Staying Active: He loves walks, playing fetch, and "window watching" the world go by. Snuggle Time: After he lets loose and has a good time, he is a total professional at snuggling. Friends & Family Dogs: He can be a little wary when first meeting new dog friends, but once he realizes they’re okay, he’s solid as a rock. He enjoys playful companions but is also perfectly happy being your "solo pup" if you’re home more often than not. Cats: He does well with "cool" cats who don't run. He’s curious and might try to sniff or encourage them to play! Kids: He loves children! However, he is a "big oaf" who can get rowdy when he’s happy and overstimulated. Because he doesn't quite realize his own size, he’d be a best fit for older or experienced kids. The "Three-Week" Rule Bird is a sensitive soul who needs a little time to adjust. It takes him about two to three weeks to fully settle into a new home and routine. He is looking for a patient family who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for. Please don't break his heart—give him the time he needs to show you what an amazing companion he can be! Fast Facts Age/Stats: 2 years old | Neutered | Microchipped | Vaccinated House Manners: Crate and potty trained. On the Go: Does well on a leash once he gets into a routine. Personality: Goofy, smart, and a little bit clumsy. Bird is ready to give you his whole world. Are you ready to be his best friend? Apply today to meet this one-of-a-kind guy! ##2008854##

Story

Meet Rocco, a big, sweet boy with a gentle soul and so much love to give. We first met him when he was wandering on his own, and after a couple of patient weeks of gaining his trust, he let his guard down. And wow, once he did, his tail wouldn't stop wagging. This gentle guy isn't hyper or demanding. He's happiest simply being near his people. He enjoys poking around outside, taking in all the smells, but he's just as content to lounge nearby. Rocco's smart too. He's picking things up quickly. Most of all, he seems grateful for kindness and for a safe spot to just be a dog. He gets very excited about breakfast and dinner and lovesss hugs! He's got such a loving heart and really just wants to belong. Rocco gets along with other dogs and is gentle with kids. Whether you're looking for a calm solo companion, a family dog, or a new buddy for your current pup, Rocco could be a great fit. ##2785395##
