My name is Midnight, a young handsome fellow looking for a family to call my own. I am house trained and I get along great with dogs and cats! I am good with children and love to play. I already know basic commands like sit, stay, and down, and am described as incredibly sweet, goofy and friendly. My favorite pleasures are Toro chews, cheese (who doesn't LOVE cheese?), squeaky toys and tug of war toys. Bird "the Turd" is a super handsome 2yo boy, searching for a "nest" to call home! He is such a sweet and goofy guy! He's also extremely entertaining! A little hard headed at times, but most teenagers are right?! Thankfully he is very smart and treat motivated! Bird thrives with a gentle voice and reassurance to build his confidence! He loves walks, window watching, toys, car rides, fetch, treats, snuggles and just letting loose and having a good time. He is sometimes wary of making new dog friends, but once he realizes they're ok, he's solid as a rock! He enjoys playful dogs, but also doesn't mind being your solo pup as long as you're home more often than not. Bird does good with cats that don't run and are cool with him being nearby, sniffing them and/or trying to encourage them to interact. He loves kids, but can be a bit clumsy and sometimes gets "rowdy" when overstimulated so older or experienced kids are best fitting for him. (no that doesn't mean he bites or becomes agressive in any way, he just gets super happy and doesn't realize what a big oaf he is!) He is crate and potty trained. He does well on a leash once you get going and have a routine. He also rides very well in your front seat! It takes Bird about two weeks to fully settle in to a new home and routine, so please keep that in mind if you're interested in bringing him into your home. Don't break his heart because you don't have the patience to let him settle in. He's a great guy, with a heart of gold and the best personality you'll ever see! Story

Kristoff is being fostered in Ocala FL. Kristoff is a very unique dog and such a juxtaposition! He hates car rides, but loves walks. He is the happiest, sweetest, tail-wagging floof, but is a tough as nails street dog at his core. He is a happy go lucky, friendly guy on one hand, but if he gets contained, he is absolutely frantic to break free. He loves to be with the other dogs, but will be reactive and quickly defensive if startled. His face is greying, but his energy and enthusiasm are still puppy-like with no signs of slowing down (except for some occasional signs of doggy dementia.) He does not tolerate his front paws being touched, but does allow the vet tech to trim his nails, though reluctantly. Surprisingly, he really enjoys being brushed, but no noisy trimmers which makes grooming tricky. Kris’s health is good and he is doing well on that front. He has lost a significant amount of weight and leveled off now, so he is much healthier. He thrives on routine and verbal cues, which he learns easily with repetition. Kristoff is full of contradictions and challenges which will require a special experienced adopter, a lot of patience, work and communication. Although he loves to be with a pack, it is probably easier to acclimate him in a home without any other pets, but older children are ok. Kris would prefer a home with his human home much of the time. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
