You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Nala is a happy-go-lucky Cockapoo with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. This sweet girl is always ready for fun, whether she’s running around the yard, tossing toys in the air, playing fetch, or romping around with her canine friends. She absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with another young, playful pup who can match her energy and enthusiasm for life. Nala is friendly with everyone she meets and truly enjoys being part of the action. She may occasionally bark when passing people or dogs on walks, but once she has the chance to say hello, her sweet and social personality shines through. She’s gentle, affectionate, and has absolutely no signs of aggression — even when excited over toys or bones, she remains trusting and easygoing. This smart girl already knows several commands including sit, stay, down, quiet, and go potty. She’s eager to please, obedient, and catches onto routines quickly. Nala also does wonderfully in the car and is always happy to tag along on adventures with her people. Nala does best when she has companionship and isn’t a fan of being left alone for long periods. She settles nicely in her crate when near another dog and takes comfort in having a canine buddy around. Because of this, a home with another friendly, active dog would be ideal for her. With her goofy energy, loving nature, and playful personality, Nala brings joy everywhere she goes. She’s the kind of dog who will keep you smiling, keep you active, and happily curl up nearby after a long day of fun. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
My name is Yoko. I came from Garland Texas under the hospice program. But after addressing his medical concerns, I am becoming a senior adoptable. A few words from his foster: Yoko is a senior dog that came from Texas in July. He is vision impaired, sweet and smart. He is housebroken and does well on a schedule. Mostly after he eats he needs to go out fairly soon after. He does get daily eye drops and can give some tips to give them easy. He is a good sleeper. He can go up the stairs with no problems, is best to be carried down stairs and he has learned to navigate his way around really well with very limited eye sight. A baby gate would be best to limit his space if you have stairs just to start and he would do fine with being kenneled when gone. He is turning into a happy little dog and likes going on short walks. He loves to wander around and sniff everything. He really is a special dog. A quiet home without alot of excitement is best and does like his own space especially when he is sleeping. He is just a sweet, mellow boy who gets along with both my dog and cat so no issues if there are other animals in the house. Medical Bio/From the Vet: We are so excited that Yoko is ready to find his forever home. He has been in rescue for a little over 1 year, and in that time we have been able to successfully manage his medical conditions. He had glaucoma in both eyes, one of which could not be successfully managed, so treatment was removal of the eye. His left eye is managed on two medicated eye drops. His hyperthyroidism is well managed on an oral medication called Levothyroxine. Bloodwork is recommended every 6 months while on this medication to account for any dose changes that may be needed. He has been started on 2 different anti-anxiety medications to help with some fear based reactivity. The estimated total cost of Yoko's medications would be approximately $50. We hope that we can find him a perfect spot to land to be spoiled and loved in his golden years!

Story
temp foster needed 5/21-5/27 Email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can help! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi, my name is Toby, and I am from Missouri! Toby is a bundle of pure joy. He is a poodle mix and does not shed (or sheds very little) and might even be great for a family with allergies. He is smart, eager to please, playful, affectionate, housebroken, not picky or protective about food and toys, does fine in a crate, and can be left out when you are not at home. This good boy is the REAL DEAL. While he needs to lose weight, he has a tremendous amount of (highly positive) energy and would love an active family who is ready to walk him, play with him, and cuddle daily. He LOVES to play and be goofy. He gets on famously with the resident dogs and we suspect he will be fine with cats. We cannot emphasize what gem sweet Toby is! He exudes love and joy every minute of the day!
