You might notice how beautiful I am. yep, it's true. but please read because I am a sensitive and cautious beautiful dog looking for a person who understands my specific needs. someone was heavy handed with me previously so fast movements toward me make me nervous. example; reaching for me quickly def makes me uncomfortable. You see, my true spirit is a cuddly, kind dog but I just need a human with patience to help advocate for me so I can become the best version of myself. I am good with dogs but if the human is not a leader I will become bossy. A home without young kids is also preferred I can't wait to meet you. please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. Like many unfortunate, wonderful dogs, Dolly found herself alone at the LA City shelter after her family dropped her off, with no good reason behind their action. One wonders why, as she is such a wonderful, well-tempered, loving girl. She is in a great foster home now and at 13 years of age, Dolly continues to show us her joy of life. She enjoys her walks with her foster family (is great on leash) and greets everyone who walks by giving the warmest hello and gentlest of kisses - yes she loves everyone (and she wonders why when someone doesn't say hi back!). She co-habitates fine with other dogs, though she does enjoy the company of her human friends much more. Dolly has learned to sleep in her crate and does not mind resting in it with the door open during the day, and also enjoys the light and sun of the outdoors in her yard. She is fine left alone for short periods of time, would rather be with her people most of the time, and is a quiet, sweet, gentle soul. At only 17 lbs, she will make a great companion for anyone. The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. The adoption fee for a puppy is generally $495 - $525. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so.
