Senior Sweetheart Looking for a Loving Retirement Home... It breaks my heart to write this, but I am looking for a loving home for my sweet senior dog. He is turning 15 this year, but you would never guess it he is still very active! He can run, jump, and go up and down stairs with ease. He has a great appetite and loves his food. He is incredibly gentle, affectionate, and wonderful with kids. He loves to cuddle, play, and just be around people. He truly enjoys companionship. Due to my current situation as a single working parent, I am away from home for long hours, and he would be alone for more than 12 hours a day. He deserves more attention, love, and company in his golden years. I am hoping to find someone kind and patient who can give him the love and companionship he deserves for the rest of his life...

Dewey Mixed breed | 9 pounds | Neutered | Micripchipped | Vaccinated | Housebroken | 4 years old  Dewey came to us from a shelter in Sacramento, CA.  He can be very sweet and loves cuddles and belly rubs, but is extremely protective of his food.  We have been working on this with him and feed him separately from the other dogs in the home.  He did bite his previous foster, but there has been no more biting issues in his new foster home. That said we don't believe he will do well with young children, but dog savvy children would be okay. He likes to be outside sunning, he is a loner but loves human attention. Bass is the last of his siblings for adoption. His owner contacted our rescue to take a litter of cocker spaniels because he could not care for them with his school schedule. Bass is a very sweet boy. His mom is a 15 lb pure cocker spaniel with a warm and friendly personality. Bass is 5 months old, 10 lbs and fully vaccinated.
