Hi, my name's Dodger. I'm an older Cocker Spaniel, and for a long time, I was living with a family that neglected me before dumping me on the streets of Los Angeles. I had no home, no one to care for me, and I was in so much pain. I was sick and covered in fleas, my mouth hurt from rotting teeth, and the bladder stones inside me were causing horrible bleeding. I just didn't have the strength to fight anymore. But then, Beagle Freedom Project found me! They rushed me to the vet where I got the urgent care I needed. The doctors performed a big surgery to remove huge bladder stones that were causing me to bleed internally, and they pulled out all my decayed teeth that had been infected for who knows how long. It's hard to believe, but I'm finally starting to feel a little better. Right now, I'm recovering in my foster home, where I feel safe and loved, but I still need a forever home where I can live out my golden years! Once I trust you, I'm such a friendly girl, and do not let my age fool you, I can be super silly and playful too! I promise to be the best companion ever if you open your home to me. Megatron was rescued after people witnessed him being beaten by a mentally ill homeless person. We are just guessing at the breed/mix. He’s adorable and loving. He can be a bit barky when excited but he is easily redirected. Good with other dogs and cats. Would probably be fine as an only dog as well. Great in the car. Loves car rides. He does sometimes get weary of strangers approaching him in public - if they come on too strong. No bite history but we definitely think he has some emotional baggage after what he went through on the mean streets.

Onyx is half cocker spaniel (mom) mixed with rottweiler/German shepherd (dad) who was surrendered by his previous family at just 1 year old and came to me for fostering and will be 2 y.o. in March. Despite being neglected, he showed an incredible amount of spirit and resilience! After a full check-up with the vet, he was treated for fleas successfully, updated on his vaccines, and neutered. Previously an outdoor-only dog, Onyx has adjusted beautifully to indoor life—he’s now fully crate trained and potty trained. This social butterfly thrives on companionship and loves seeing his friends regularly at the dog park. While he’s not much of a barker, he has a playful and lively personality and would be thrilled to have a sibling or a pet parent who can keep up with his love for playdates. Onyx is the sweetest, smartest boy you’ll ever meet, with just a hint of mischief to keep things fun. He’s ready to find his furever family and fill their lives with joy and adventure!

I type this with a heavy heart. I adopted Coco 7 years ago, when he was only two months old. He’s my travel buddy and my best friend, and I never saw this day coming but unfortunately I need to find Coco a new loving home. I will need to start the year without any commitments as I unfortunately developed bad allergies and need to perform surgery, but I cannot do so until I’m sure that Coco will be in a safe, loving and permanent home. About Coco: He is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. He has his service dog papers for travel, and I have all his clothes, toys, two beds and his grooming kit. He does not do well around kids. He loves to cuddle, play, and is a lap dog. I hope to find someone who has all the free time for hikes and play time. He is super smart, potty trained, loving, curious, affectionate, loyal, and soulful. He is 18 lbs. and gets along with dogs and cats his size. Please contact me privately if you’re interested.
