An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Meet Harry – The Merry Fellow! Harry's story began with heartbreak. He was dumped in the mountains of Puerto Rico and somehow found his way to an apartment complex, where he waited, hoping someone would notice him. Harry doesn't know he's been let down by people—he greets everyone like they're his new best friend. When he was finally rescued, he couldn't have been more grateful. Despite being abandoned, Harry never stopped trusting. Harry is the perfect size at just 23 pounds—small enough to fit comfortably in your lap but tall enough with his adorable long legs and fluffy coat to turn heads wherever he goes. He's estimated to be 2–3 years old, is neutered, fully vaccinated, and fully vetted, and is ready to find his forever home. If you're looking for an affectionate companion, Harry is your guy. He has so much love to give. He absolutely adores people, loves curling up in laps, gives the sweetest hugs, and will gently shower you with soft little kisses. His favorite place is right beside his person, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Harry is great with kids and cats. With other dogs, he does well but would benefit from a slow, proper introduction to help him feel comfortable and build confidence. We aren't sure if Harry is fully potty trained since he spent time surviving outdoors after being abandoned, but with patience and consistency, he's eager to learn. Harry has already been through more than any dog should, yet he remains incredibly loving and trusting. All he's asking for is a family to love him back and promise he'll never be abandoned again.

Story
Sweet little Heidi will perform some magic tricks, like making your spot on the couch disappear, you certainly won't have any trouble finding this snuggle bug! She is a certified Very Good Girl, gets along great with other dogs, and as soon as you bring her home you'll wonder how you ever lived without her! If you'd like to know more about the pup, we'd love to hear from you! Heidi is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested negativr for heartworms. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
