Story
Key Lime is a sweet 6 year old gentleman who loves to carry around his tennis balls. He's 30lbs of pure fluffy stud muffin. He's dog friendly, crate trained, potty trained and is low energy. He loves his walkies and rolling in the grass. Loves cuddles from his humans and doesn't jump on people so he would be gentle with little ones. Doesn't mind being groomed and is remarkably chill for the blow dryer. He's non-confrontational and has a quiet confidence. Kennel License 16984

Story
Toast is looking for his forever family! Toast has been in rescue for a few months now. He is about 10 months old and he is the cutest little cocker spaniel! Poor little toasty has had a rough start to life, being born with PRAA. PRAA is a congenital vascular ring anomaly where a fetal blood vessel fails to regress, forming a tight ring around the esophagus.   Dogs with this condition are unable to eat solid foods and need to eat in a sitting position in a special chair (Bailey Chair) like a human.  It mimics megaesophagus but it's a cardiac defect. In regular English, that means a piece of the heart that is supposed to fall off by the time of  birth did not - making it wrap around the esophagus and choke it off.   As a result, food gets stuck, basically starving the dog.  Toast would regurgitate and then try to eat it because he was starving. Toast would not sit up in the chair, we tried everything. We even bought a baby backpack to put him in and try to get him to hang from our shoulders in the sling just to keep him upright. He hated it.   Eventually he was able to get some liquified meals down and keep them down with multiple burpings.  He still would regurgitate most of the time. And then try and gulp it down.  We are so grateful for the donations from @thefarmersdog and @freshpet because they are the perfect foods to mix with water and put in the food processor. It blends up so nicely, even though we had to water it down a lot, and apparently, according to Toast, it tastes delicious! But no matter how good it tasted, all he wanted to do was chew food and eat like a normal dog. But when he would, he would instantly throw it up because all the food got backed up in his esophagus. Unfortunately this condition requires an intense surgery.  We knew what he had when we were asked to take him in as a scrawny pup.  But fortunately for Toast, we love the tough medical cases (and so do our vets!)  Fast forward a few months.  Toasty had the surgery (full blown open chest heart surgery/cracked ribs and the like) a month ago and is absolutely thriving! Our vets believe that the bottom of his esophagus has a little bit of a paralysis because the vessel was so tight. That may go away over time, but he is able to eat solid food now like all of his pals! The only thing different for him is that he has to eat out of a slow feeder bowl.    He is doing great.   Toast is a super happy and playful pup! He does go to the bathroom outside like a good boy but once in a while he will use the potty pads his foster mom uses for her senior dogs.  He's looking for a playful family. We think he would be a great dog for a family with kids. He loves other dogs. Bonus if you have a dog already (but not a requirement).  He walks ok on a leash - getting better at it every day! He's been to the Wildwood dog park on the beach and had a blast with all the other dogs.   He's a social guy!  We are also going to share the photos from his barium test that showed the backed up food and a video of the surgery done by our amazing vet team.    We have the best experts on our team.  Our vets are fearless and love the dogs and the challenges we bring them.   That's not bragging - we are amazed every week at our vet's ability to solve the unique medical cases we take in on a weekly basis. If you are interested in adopting Toast please apply!  He’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to live a long happy life!   https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/ ##2787240##

She is a very loving and well-cared-for dog. She is sweet and affectionate. Unfortunately, I need to rehome her because my three-year-old granddaughter, who lives with me, has a severe allergy to pet hair. This has been a very hard decision.

Story
' 'We call them our Z pups, and although their names start with the last letter of the alphabet, they’re truly A+ dogs! Five of them, these 3 month old Cocker Spaniel/Lab mixes are named Zambo, Zoom, Zero, Zap, Zebu. They presently weigh about 10-12 puppy pounds and will mature to 30-35 pounds. They’re super sweet, playful, energetic and vocal; and they love to play in their baby poo! Excellent pups, our smiles are broad when we’re with them. (posted 7/8/26, ME) ' 'Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $170.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **August 23, 2026, 12:16 pm
