Story
Imagine if a teddy bear, a mop, and a box of chocolates all joined forces—ta-da, you’d get Milton! This 2-year-old, 30-pound Cocker Spaniel is equal parts plush toy and goofball sidekick. With those big, soulful eyes, he could probably talk his way out of a speeding ticket (or at least into an extra treat). Milton comes fully equipped with all the best features: house trained (no surprises on the carpet), crate trained (he’s got his own “doggie studio apartment”), and a leash pro who struts like he’s on a catwalk—err, dogwalk. He’s friendly with other dogs, loves hanging with his people, and is generally the kind of guy who makes life feel like a sitcom in the best way. Surrendered when his family couldn’t find pet-friendly housing, Milton is now ready for a forever home where he can put his comedic timing and snuggle powers to good use. Warning: side effects may include spontaneous laughter, floppy-ear kisses, and a permanent case of happy heart. Milton is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Elsa is a gorgeous 4-year-old, 22-pound tri-colored cocker.  Elsa is looking for a special forever home with another dog-friendly pup, securely fenced yard and patience to allow Elsa to build her confidence and blossom in a home.  Elsa has spent her entire life as a breeder pup without proper socialization.  She is startled by noises.  She keeps her crate clean and prefers women to men but isn't aggressive in any way to anyone. We know she'll come out of her shell once in a loving home, and we can't wait to see her find her happy tail.  To learn more about Elsa, please email our Team at adoptme@cockerspanielrescue.com.  She is located in Alexandria, VA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 30, 2025, 10:59 am

Story
A perfect pairing to any home is our newest cocker, Shiraz!  This gentle boy is 5 years old and 38 pounds.  He could use to lose a few pounds. HaHaHa.  He LOVES to play with toys and squeak, squeak, squeak them!  It is so cute.  Shiraz loves chasing the ball in his foster's fenced back yard. Check him out here! He is house trained, rides quietly in the car and walks pretty good on the leash.  Shiraz was an owner surrender with terribly infected ears that we've treated, and he is doing great now.  He will need an adopter who will continue to provide routine ear cleaning to keep his ears feeling their best.  Shiraz easily takes daily, inexpensive medication for his hypothyroidism.  We do not know about children and recommend only dog-savvy older children for Shiraz. To learn more about adopting Shiraz, please email adoptme@cockerspanielrescue.com.  He is fostered in Vienna, VA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 29, 2025, 8:34 pm

Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Hedy. My owner lived in a senior living community. Eventually, she had to go into memory care. The kind people at the senior living community took care of me so I could be with my owner until the end. Now that she is gone, the managers of the community felt I needed a new home to call my own so they asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am fantastic with people, I was surrounded by over a hundred every day. I am not very good with other dogs especially high energy dogs who get too close too quickly. I am house trained and good with children. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   CSAC is adopting Teddy and Smokey as a bonded pair. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Teddy. I were rescued from a hoarding situation, and my rescuer asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am friendly, but right now I am a bit nervous since I am not sure what is happening to me right now. I lived with a hoarder with a lot of other animals. My pictures show that I was not well cared for. I feel better now that I was groomed. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis disease, but I am taking medication for that. I do have a grade 3 of 6 heart murmur, but everything else is ok. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon.
