Story
Meet Bella  This pretty girl has been through a lot of change, but her sweet spirit still shines. She was originally adopted by a loving family in California. Tragically, her mom was killed, and Bella, along with the two children, went to live with a relative who suddenly found herself caring for more kids and dogs than she had planned. Wanting the best for Bella, she made the difficult decision to rehome her. Unfortunately, that situation didn’t work out, and Bella was later abandoned, ending up as a stray wandering in McLean, VA. Thankfully, a local animal advocate brought her to safety, and now Bella finally has the chance to find the loving, committed home she has always deserved. Bella is currently being fostered with Janet and her two dogs, and she has integrated easily into her new pack, and likes to romp around with her pup pals.. She has a moderate energy level; she enjoys playtime but is calm and relaxed inside the home. She even sleeps in bed with the other dogs at night and clearly loves canine companionship. We believe Bella would do best in a home with another dog and someone who has a more flexible schedule. When left alone, she may cry briefly but settles down quickly. Because of this, a single-family home would be a better fit than a condo setting. Her foster mom describes Bella as an incredibly loving, gentle, and sweet soul. She is great with kids, cats, and other dogs. Bella is crate-trained and housetrained, has good leash manners, comes when called, and knows how to sit. Most of all, she just wants to be close to her people. She loves belly rubs, time in the yard, and soaking up affection from her humans. This sweet girl deserves stability, love, and a true forever home. Apply today! BREED ESTIMATE:  Cocker Spaniel Mix GENDER: Female  APPROXIMATE WEIGHT:  22 lbs  APPROXIMATE AGE: ~  5 to 6 years old COAT TYPE: Med/Long flowy coat that needs regular grooming ADOPTION FEE: $425 OTHER INFO: utd on shots/spayed/microchipped/dental LOCATION:  Oakton, VA     FOR MORE INFO OR TO ADOPT: Please go to https://adopt.worthydog.org and complete the application. You can also help save dogs like this one by becoming a foster, providing a rescue dog with a temporary home and giving them the love and care they need until they are permanently adopted. Every person who fosters is directly responsible for saving the life of a dog, because we can only save as many dogs as we have foster families available to welcome them into their homes. Story
🐶 Looking for a New Family for Lego 📍 Location: New York Lego was adopted as a young puppy but was sadly surrendered by his owner after three years. He grew up in an unstable environment with frequent travel back and forth to Boston, which made it difficult for him to form a secure attachment with his guardian. Because of this instability, in moments of fear, panic, or overwhelming stress, he has shown a few defensive or warning bites Lego needs a family who can meet him in person, understand his behavior clearly, and provide the consistent, reassuring environment he needs. City life is simply too overwhelming for him. With a quiet environment and a patient, steady guardian, Lego has every chance to continue improving and becoming more stable. The greatest hope is for Lego to find a peaceful home where he can finally rest. 📌 Basic Information Name: Lego Age: 4 years Gender: Male Weight: 25 lbs Breed: Jindo × Cocker Spaniel mix Color: Brown & White 🐾 Personality & Behavior People: Very fearful/reactive toward new people, warms up more easily to shorter women Children: Not recommended Other Dogs: Best as the only dog Shows resource guarding around food; must be fed separately Cats: Unknown Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: No Energy Level: High Touch/Handling: Uncomfortable with physical contact Barking: Quiet when alone; barks at doorbells or hallway noises when someone is home Escape Tendencies: None — manageable with “sit” and “wait” Walking: Martingale collar recommended; pulls with a harness Car Rides: Nervous initially, settles on longer rides Yard: Ideal, but a quiet neighborhood is also fine Living with Other Dogs: Not suitable 🔎 What Lego Needs Lego has fear-based reactivity. His current guardian has invested significant time, training, and management, and he has shown meaningful progress. However, Lego needs: A guardian experienced with reactive or anxious dogs A consistent daily routine A calm environment with low stimulation 🧡 Please Consider Becoming Lego’s Family Once he bonds, Lego is goofy, affectionate, and deeply loyal. He is waiting for a forever family who can provide the quiet suburban environment where he can truly thrive.
