Story
Gosh life gets hard for these wonderful dogs that had such bright starts in life but with older owners who just could go the whole 9 yards with their dogs, till death do us part.  Honey is one of those precious dogs who is just 2.5 years old and weighs 17 pounds.  We believe her to be a Cockapoo and what a lovely girl she truly is.  Her sweet mom has severe and debilitating dementia and her son has taken in this girl briefly with no help from any other children, or siblings to his mother to step forward and help.  Her son has 5 dogs himself and a few of them are bigger and very aggressive with Honey.  She is in harm's way staying there.  Critter Cavalry Rescue is stepping forward under this SOS situation and taking her to one of our fosters to hang out while we find her a younger prospective family that can carry her through to her final senior years with no interruption or disruption in who owns her.  The next home needs to be the forever and ever one.  This girl is beautiful inside and out and has a gentle spirit about her.  She is housebroken, crate trained and just doesn't understand what has just happened in her life.  The son is taking her to work with him since his pack of 5 dogs are just not predictable with her.  He doesn't want to crate her for 9 hours and so he is the best and most intelligent thing.  Hopefully Critter Cavalry Rescue can make the transport on 4/21 and she will start her journey with us to find that grand home that will soothe her confusion and will also give her a fun and adventurous life ahead.   This is a young and beautiful little girl that has not even reached her potential in life!   Please consider if you are that family with some pep in your step and the promise that you will be able to care for her to her very last breath over the next 15 years which she has the potential to live.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and know that she can be transported form Nashville, TN where she is based with our rescue and can stop along our route to the northeastern states. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 24, 2026, 11:27 pm

Leo is a well behaved, super energetic and loving 10 month old Cocker Spaniel. He needs a family that can give him all the attention and space he deserves. He loves to go out on long walks, run in open fields, and greet you with a big bark and jump when you walk through the door. He is the sweetest dog and needs someone who can give him a lot of attention.

Story
Meet Bella  This pretty girl has been through a lot of change, but her sweet spirit still shines. She was originally adopted by a loving family in California. Tragically, her mom was killed, and Bella, along with the two children, went to live with a relative who suddenly found herself caring for more kids and dogs than she had planned. Wanting the best for Bella, she made the difficult decision to rehome her. Unfortunately, that situation didn’t work out, and Bella was later abandoned, ending up as a stray wandering in McLean, VA. Thankfully, a local animal advocate brought her to safety, and now Bella finally has the chance to find the loving, committed home she has always deserved. Bella is currently being fostered with Janet and her two dogs, and she has integrated easily into her new pack, and likes to romp around with her pup pals.. She has a moderate energy level; she enjoys playtime but is calm and relaxed inside the home. She even sleeps in bed with the other dogs at night and clearly loves canine companionship. We believe Bella would do best in a home with another dog and someone who has a more flexible schedule. When left alone, she may cry briefly but settles down quickly. Because of this, a single-family home would be a better fit than a condo setting. Her foster mom describes Bella as an incredibly loving, gentle, and sweet soul. She is great with kids, cats, and other dogs. Bella is crate-trained and housetrained, has good leash manners, comes when called, and knows how to sit. Most of all, she just wants to be close to her people. She loves belly rubs, time in the yard, and soaking up affection from her humans. This sweet girl deserves stability, love, and a true forever home. Apply today! Story
Hi, I'm Ocean, and I am a pretty active guy. I'd say I am medium energy as I really get excited about exploring my surroundings. I am crate trained and settle nicely once I've had an opportunity to exercise. I also know "sit". My foster reports that I am a lovely dog, super friendly with all the dogs and humans. I can get a little barky, but it just may be that I like to 'talk' to all the other dogs here! If you are interested in adopting me, please apply today. Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.
