Leo is a well behaved, super energetic and loving 10 month old Cocker Spaniel. He needs a family that can give him all the attention and space he deserves. He loves to go out on long walks, run in open fields, and greet you with a big bark and jump when you walk through the door. He is the sweetest dog and needs someone who can give him a lot of attention.

Story
Hi, I'm Ocean, and I am a pretty active guy. I'd say I am medium energy as I really get excited about exploring my surroundings. I am crate trained and settle nicely once I've had an opportunity to exercise. I also know "sit". My foster reports that I am a lovely dog, super friendly with all the dogs and humans. I can get a little barky, but it just may be that I like to 'talk' to all the other dogs here! If you are interested in adopting me, please apply today. Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

Story
Meet Bella  This pretty girl has been through a lot of change, but her sweet spirit still shines. She was originally adopted by a loving family in California. Tragically, her mom was killed, and Bella, along with the two children, went to live with a relative who suddenly found herself caring for more kids and dogs than she had planned. Wanting the best for Bella, she made the difficult decision to rehome her. Unfortunately, that situation didn’t work out, and Bella was later abandoned, ending up as a stray wandering in McLean, VA. Thankfully, a local animal advocate brought her to safety, and now Bella finally has the chance to find the loving, committed home she has always deserved. Bella is currently being fostered with Janet and her two dogs, and she has integrated easily into her new pack, and likes to romp around with her pup pals.. She has a moderate energy level; she enjoys playtime but is calm and relaxed inside the home. She even sleeps in bed with the other dogs at night and clearly loves canine companionship. We believe Bella would do best in a home with another dog and someone who has a more flexible schedule. When left alone, she may cry briefly but settles down quickly. Because of this, a single-family home would be a better fit than a condo setting. Her foster mom describes Bella as an incredibly loving, gentle, and sweet soul. She is great with kids, cats, and other dogs. Bella is crate-trained and housetrained, has good leash manners, comes when called, and knows how to sit. Most of all, she just wants to be close to her people. She loves belly rubs, time in the yard, and soaking up affection from her humans. This sweet girl deserves stability, love, and a true forever home. Apply today! You can also help save dogs like this one by becoming a foster, providing a rescue dog with a temporary home and giving them the love and care they need until they are permanently adopted. Every person who fosters is directly responsible for saving the life of a dog, because we can only save as many dogs as we have foster families available to welcome them into their homes. If you think you might be interested in becoming a foster and want to learn more, please go to https://foster.worthydog.org and fill out an application. If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Ezekiel, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. I was found stray. The CSAC volunteer said that I was sweet and friendly. I need a special home to take care of me for rest of my senior years. I do have a grade 3 of 4 heart murmur and a minor luxating patella. I need a new home that can take care of medical needs and take me on slow gentle walks. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. My name is Jenny, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The CSAC volunteer said that I was friendly and very sweet. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money.
