Story
Nikki has been a part of our family for 6 years now and we love her so much! We got her in Maryland in 2018, we then moved with her to Seattle for a few years where she got to hike and run around on the beach everyday. We have since moved back to Maryland since having our daughter. She is a great traveler, by plane, ferry or car- she’s done it all. She loves to cuddle and prefers people over other dogs. She’s great with older kids and warms up to new people immediately. She’ll be your shadow around the house.

ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Yaya, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. Even though I was in a home, I still need help with my manners and socialization. Overall, I am friendly, playful and calm. I am a little afraid of strangers until I get to know them. I need to be the only pet in the house. I am partially house trained so I need help finishing my house training. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Blossom, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. Story
Magnum is just as hunky as the original Magnum PI!  :-). Magnum's family was moving and couldn't bring Magnum with them, so they left him at a shelter.  We welcomed this gorgeous 14-year young, 24-pound cocker into our rescue, and now he needs a forever home! He is a gentle boy and would be an insta-fit into any home. Magnum was in a temp foster where he was great with the other dogs, is house trained, rides quietly in the car, walks nicely on the leash and is just an over-all bestest boy!  He has been neutered, chipped, dental, vaccinated, and he is ready to find his forever home now.  If you can help us, please email adoptme@cockerspanielrescue.com.  He is located in Alexandria, VA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 21, 2023, 8:39 pm
