ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! 03/28/2026 - Videos: Meet Rollie Cute Rollie MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Rollie. My owner was moving and could not take me with her so she asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am a special needs dog. I will walk and run in circles. The best guess is that I was born this way. If I am really focusing on something, I can walk in a straight line. When I am anxious or excited, I will circle. I have glaucoma. My right eye had to be removed, and I get drops in my left eye. I am house trained and crate trained. I have lived with cats but not other dogs. I love to play with toys, swim and explore. I should be in a home with a fenced in yard because I could trip up people with a leash. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Doctor Knox is a handsome blonde, wavy haired Cocker Spaniel who is about to turn 4 years old in November and weighs a nice trim 33 pounds.  A healthy and happy boy who loves to talk (bark) to alert people to new people coming around, Doctor Knox loves his toys to play with and going for walks/.  His story is that he lived happily as the king of his castle for the past almost 4 years until his owner decided she had no time to spend with him and turned him in to the rescue.  He is a boy that loves his people and he will need to have a strong alpha owner who tells him it is not needed to have him protect you from people coming around that are new.  We think he went to 'Bodyguard School' sometime in his life.  We have training tips to insure that he doesn't do this at his new home.   He is a gorgeous dog and is happy and wiggly and loves his chew toys.  If you know the Cocker Spaniel personality then you are the perfect candidate to figure know him quickly and help him adjust and fit in.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 18, 2026, 5:48 pm

A Heartbeat at your Feet <3MEET GEORGIA! Little Georgia, as her foster pawrents call her, is just blooming in foster care after being found running in traffic as a stray. Estimated to be about 4 years old and weighing 17 lbs, this little beauty got a bath and a spiffy new hair cut after getting her booster shots earlier so she is a healthy, gorgeous and very happy little girl.  Here’s what her foster mom has to say about her… “This dog is a really, really good girl. She’s a great size. She loves to cuddle. She’s got a lot of spunk. She eats well. She loves treats. She sits, she shakes. She sits in the backseat of the car and doesn’t cry. She sleeps on the floor or in a bed although she would probably be happy if you invited her up, lol. She’s really friendly and gets along with other dogs. She’ll come up to you and rub all over your feet looking for a belly rub. She’s a beautiful brown color and very soft. She has the cutest little eyebrows.” Although Georgia is the happy little pack leader of 3 other adorable dogs in her foster home, she is ready to find her own castle. She is a petite little thing so kids must be over the age of 10 please. Georgia's adoption donation fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for her by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org.  Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions. 🐶 Looking for a New Family for Lego 📍 Location: New York Lego was adopted as a young puppy but was sadly surrendered by his owner after three years. He grew up in an unstable environment with frequent travel back and forth to Boston, which made it difficult for him to form a secure attachment with his guardian. Because of this instability, in moments of fear, panic, or overwhelming stress, he has shown a few defensive or warning bites Lego needs a family who can meet him in person, understand his behavior clearly, and provide the consistent, reassuring environment he needs. City life is simply too overwhelming for him. With a quiet environment and a patient, steady guardian, Lego has every chance to continue improving and becoming more stable. The greatest hope is for Lego to find a peaceful home where he can finally rest. 📌 Basic Information Name: Lego Age: 4 years Gender: Male Weight: 25 lbs Breed: Jindo × Cocker Spaniel mix Color: Brown & White 🐾 Personality & Behavior People: Very fearful/reactive toward new people, warms up more easily to shorter women Children: Not recommended Other Dogs: Best as the only dog Shows resource guarding around food; must be fed separately Cats: Unknown Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: No Energy Level: High Touch/Handling: Uncomfortable with physical contact Barking: Quiet when alone; barks at doorbells or hallway noises when someone is home Escape Tendencies: None — manageable with “sit” and “wait” Walking: Martingale collar recommended; pulls with a harness Car Rides: Nervous initially, settles on longer rides Yard: Ideal, but a quiet neighborhood is also fine Living with Other Dogs: Not suitable 🔎 What Lego Needs Lego has fear-based reactivity. His current guardian has invested significant time, training, and management, and he has shown meaningful progress. However, Lego needs: A guardian experienced with reactive or anxious dogs A consistent daily routine A calm environment with low stimulation 🧡 Please Consider Becoming Lego’s Family Once he bonds, Lego is goofy, affectionate, and deeply loyal. He is waiting for a forever family who can provide the quiet suburban environment where he can truly thrive.

Story
Lou Lou is a lovable 6-year-old mixed breed that weighs about 20 pounds and has a gentle, easygoing personality that`s impossible not to adore. She loves being close to her people, happily soaking up cuddles without ever being demanding, and she`s perfectly content lounging on the porch, taking leisurely walks, or enjoying a cozy nap between snack breaks. Chew toys, chicken jerky treats, squeaky toys, and car rides all earn Lou Lou`s enthusiastic approval! Though she has cataracts, she navigates the world remarkably well. Once she`s familiar with her surroundings, she confidently makes her way around the house, carefully takes the stairs, and enjoys sniffing her way through walks at her own thoughtful pace.Lou Lou is looking for a family that appreciates her gentle spirit and will continue helping her thrive. She does best with a consistent potty routine and has learned what `go potty` means, happily earning praise when she heads outside. She`s also made incredible progress with being home alone. What started as separation anxiety has blossomed into peaceful naps while her foster is away. The only thing she`d still vote to skip is a closed crate; she much prefers snoozing in her crate with the door left open. Lou Lou co-exists peacefully with other dogs in her foster home, but people are where she finds her joy. With her calm temperament, good leash manners, and responsive nature, Lou Lou is an easy companion who`s simply looking for someone to share life`s quieter moments with.If you think Lou Lou is for you, complete an app today - and be ready to fall in love. If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
