I am still waiting for my new home. With the help of the vets, my skin is cleared up. They think I have food allergies that will need monitored. They also found I have a low thyroid condition which did not help my fur, but I am taking a pill for that. I only lost 2 teeth when I had my dental cleaning. Unfortunately, my head tilt is permanent from having chronic, untreated ear infections, but it does not slow me down. I just want someone to cuddle me and give me belly rubs. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Lady, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a backyard breeder. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. I get along with kids, cats and male dogs. I am not to fond of other female dogs. I am crate trained and partially house trained. I need consistency to refresh my house training. I do like to go for walks and car rides. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They found that I had a skin infection over most of my body likely due to food or environmental allergies. I am getting medicated baths and antibiotics to clear it up. I have ear infections which are being treated. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money.
