Story
Meet Wintermint, a sweet and sensitive boy with a gentle soul and a heart full of potential. While he may be shy when meeting new people, those who earn his trust are rewarded with a loving, playful companion whose personality shines a little brighter every day. Wintermint absolutely adores other dogs and truly comes alive in their company. He takes comfort in having canine friends around, looks to them for guidance, and would thrive in a home with another confident dog to help show him the ropes. Whether he’s playing with his buddies or exploring the yard, being outdoors is one of his favorite things. Wintermint is a naturally timid dog who can be startled by loud noises, unfamiliar environments, and new experiences. Because of this, he is looking for a patient, understanding family that will allow him to move at his own pace as he learns to feel safe and secure. He has begun working on leash walking in quieter areas and is making progress, but he will need continued encouragement and confidence-building as he navigates the world around him. The family who gives Wintermint the time and support he needs will have the privilege of watching him blossom. Beneath his cautious exterior is a sweet, loving dog who wants nothing more than to feel safe, have fun with his canine friends, and enjoy life by your side. With patience, kindness, and another dog to help guide him, Wintermint has all the makings of a devoted companion and loyal best friend. Wintermint is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and is ready to join a family! www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Wintermint’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2676422&name=Wintermint #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #adoptme ##2676422##

Story
ABBEY MAE came to us when her owner had to go into assisted living. She is the sweetest, sweetest dog! Always happy to meet new people! Abbey is good with other dogs. She is coexisting with kitty cats right now but will chase them. Abbey is a bit of a chunk muffin and she’s on a weight loss diet prior to her spay on 4/14/26. Abbey has been vaccinated and will have pre-op blood panel run prior to surgery. Also 4DX and microchip. Currently 70 lbs and 8 years old. We are not sure her breed mix. She looks to be some sort of hound, maybe beagle and possibly a herding type dog like a Collie. Abbey will officially be available for adoption by the end of April but we are accepting applications now. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you’re interested in adding this sweet girl to your family! Adoption $250.March 12, 2026, 9:50 am

Story
Meet our staff favorite, Bonnie! This girl is available for foster or adoption! She is looking for a patient home to help her become the best version of herself! She was found abandoned on a farm with another dog, so we are unsure of her history. She is currently in a temporary foster home and is thriving! She is great with all dogs and does well with a senior and calm cat in the home, as well as sheep through the fence. She is house trained and is doing well with crate training. She doesn't make a peep at night. She recently went on a staff camping trip and made the perfect buddy.  She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. If you think she may be the perfect match for your family please fill out a foster or adoption application! Applications are available online at petpantrylc.org. From there, our adoption coordinator will be in touch!July 3, 2026, 11:41 pm

Story
Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. July 4, 2026, 1:42 pm

Story
Tessie is a one-year-old Blue Heeler with a big heart packed into a petite 20-lb body. Like many Heelers, she forms a deep bond with her person and loves being close — she’s the ultimate little “Velcro dog.” Her favorite things include outdoor adventures, chew toys, exploring the yard, and then settling in for a cozy couch nap with her favorite human. Tessie is incredibly smart and will quickly learn a new routine, but she’ll do best with a patient adopter who will give her a little time and space to settle into her new home. Once she trusts you, her loyalty is unmatched. She also takes her job as yard supervisor very seriously and has the cutest little sassy strut when she’s feeling happy. While she prefers being out and about with her people, she can stay in a crate when needed. Tessie would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a devoted, intelligent dog who will be by their side through life’s adventures. ❤️ If you think Tessie might be the perfect match for you, please apply at straynetwork.org #adoptdontshop

Story
Koohunei (Koo-who-neah) is my best friend. I adopted him in April 2022 when he was about 8 weeks old. He just turned 4 this January. His name in my language means “happiness,” and that’s exactly what he brings. He’s incredibly affectionate—he loves holding your hand, being pet, and staying close. He’s playful, snuggly, and always so excited to see you come home. This is not an easy decision for me. Due to personal and health-related circumstances, I’m no longer able to give him the level of care and stability he deserves. I love him deeply, and this choice is coming from a place of wanting better for him. I’m looking for someone patient and kind who is willing to learn his personality and give him a loving, stable home. If possible, I would really appreciate staying in touch or receiving updates, as he means so much to me. Thank you 🤎
