Story
1.5 years old, 49 lbs Personality: gentle, goofy/funny, outgoing, good running partner, and snuggler. Meet Jake! This curious, affectionate pup is a champion sniffer, a good athlete and runner, a dedicated cuddler, and eager as a beaver to learn from the humans and animals around him. He sits, cuddles, and lies down in the weirdest positions, and loves being close to his humans. Smart Jake is on a self improvement journey! He knows the words “sit,” “wait,” “lie down” and “off," and is working on “stay.” He’s house trained and is working diligently to perfect his leash manners — having quiet walking routes helps! Calm but active, Jake loves playing with other dogs, including his foster brother, but would do best in a home without cats. If he had his way, Jake would be right by your side all the time — but he’s very comfortable in his crate at night and is trusted uncrated during the workday. Does this gentle, goofy guy sound like a good fit for your home? Apply today to meet Jake! ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC.
