Meet Ranger – The Sweetest Gentleman Around!

Ranger is an adorable 33-pound Collie mix, approximately 8–10 years young, with a heart of gold and so much love to give!
This handsome boy is an absolute dream in his foster home! He’s completely house-trained, sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate, and is incredibly well-behaved when left home alone. No destruction, no fuss — just a perfect gentleman who enjoys sitting on the couch, watching the world go by while patiently waiting for his people to return.
What makes Ranger so special?
*Loves other dogs! He’s met several neighborhood pups and has adored every single one.
*Loves everyone he meets! Ranger has never met a stranger.
*Wonderful house manners! Fully house-trained, quiet, and trustworthy when left alone.
*Sleeps through the night in his crate without a peep.
*Smart and food-motivated! He’s already mastered “sit” and is eager to learn more.
*Rarely barks! Unless, of course, there’s a squirrel that needs his attention!
Ranger is also discovering the joy of toys! He’s a little shy about playing in front of people, but his foster mom recently caught him having fun with one when he thought nobody was watching.
And if you’re looking for affection, Ranger has plenty to share! No matter where you’re sitting or what you’re doing, he’ll gently tuck his sweet face under your hand to request his favorite thing — head scratches!
He’s still working on his leash manners because his curious nose likes to lead the way, but he isn’t a strong puller.
Ranger may be a little older, but he’s truly a gem! He’s the perfect combination of sweet, calm, friendly, and affectionate. All he needs now is a forever family to love him as much as he’ll love them.

As part of our Silver Paws program for senior dogs (7 years and above), this dog has had a thorough senior pet exam, complete bloodwork, and (if recommended by a veterinarian) a dental cleaning.
The adoption fee for this dog is $250, which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.
