If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting:  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Baby Opal (OPA0525CHEFD)Estimated Breed:  Collie mix Approximate Age:  10-11 weeks   Approximate Weight:  12 LBS Currently Living at:  Foster      Adoption Fee:  $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Hi there, I'm Baby Opal. I came from an overcrowded shelter in Chesterfield, South Carolina along with my sister, Baby Ruby. The shelter is no place for a little puppy like me, fortunately we have been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers and given the opportunity to find our respective forever families. Could that be with you? I'm your typical sweet and loving puppy, always ready to give you puppy kisses and cuddle up by your side. I'm a little shy at first because of all the recent changes I have experienced but I warm up very quickly. I adore other dogs and just love to play. While attending an adoption event everyone remarked what a lovely puppy I was. I promise to bring happiness into your life with my sweet and loving nature. Why should you adopt me? Well, I believe every home needs a little extra love and laughter, and I'm just the puppy to deliver that! At my young age, I'm in my prime for training and socialization too. I will make an amazing addition to an active home. Submit an application today!  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
Chilli, named after a bowl of chilli, is a sweet, chill, and loving dog. He is almost 2 years old, with his birthday coming up in August. We are looking to Rehome chilli due having problems with his siblings. We have noticed chilli would do best and be happier as the only dog of the house. He’s a great companion, loves to cuddle on you, and is very vocal about his feelings. Loves to be outdoors and ideally would be paired with an owner who is active and has time to take him on long walks. He’s a big fan of squirrels and birds. Chilli is also independent and likes to have solo time but also wants to be included and socialize with his owners.

Story
This handsome blue eyed Border Collie is called Hitch.  A devoted dog that loves to go for runs with his human (trained to run in front and answer to voice commands) and can run long distances too.  He is 6 years old but you would never know it.  He is the best dog ever.  Crate trained and housebroken and neutered with all updated shots and HW negative.  He is great with other dogs and most every cat he meets.  He is a dog that really doesn’t enjoy the company and activity of really young children.  They make him nervous. He loves to go for rides in the car with his person.  He is seeking a quiet home away from the busy road and all of the cars, buses, motorcycles, etc. that make him anxious. None of these vehicles bother him when he runs since he is “working.”  The best home for him would be an active family who lives out on land and he can run and play.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 15, 2025, 9:23 pm

Story
Meet Mimi – The Sweetheart with Spots and a Heart Full of Love! Born around Christmas time, Mimi is a 4-month-old, 18-pound bundle of Border Collie/Heeler joy who’s ready to jingle all the way into your heart! Raised on a peaceful farm in Middle Tennessee with her gorgeous momma and siblings, this little beauty has had the best puppyhood a girl could ask for—rolling in the grass, keeping watch over chickens, and observing cows and horses like a true farmhand-in-training. Mimi is packed with personality and sweetness. She adores playtime with dogs, cats, and kids—and when it’s time to wind down, she’ll happily melt into a cuddle puddle right at your feet. Say her name, give her a kind word or a gentle pat, and watch her eyes light up like it’s Christmas morning all over again. We expect Mimi to grow into a lovely medium-sized gal (about 40-45 pounds), making her the perfect size for adventure AND snuggles. Got chickens? Mimi is a certified feathered-friend protector! If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving pup to grow up with your family—or just to be your new best friend—Mimi is your girl!  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to make her part of your family! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 30, 2025, 9:41 pm
