PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. **Hi, I’m Callie! ❤️** I’m a happy 18-month-old Collie mix girl weighing about 50 pounds, and I’m looking for my forever family! I have these big pointy ears that I love to perk up when I see people, a fluffy sable coat that’s super soft for cuddles, and I’m almost always smiling with my tongue hanging out because life is just so good. I’m the gentlest girl you’ll ever meet — I really don’t have a mean bone in my body. I’m sweet, calm, and easygoing. I love everyone I meet and I’m great with kids and other pets. I already know all the important house rules: I’m fully housebroken, I’m a champion at using the dog door, and I’m super chill in my kennel when you need me to be. I just want to be near my people, whether that’s snuggling on the couch or going for nice walks. I promise to be your loyal, loving companion who fills your home with wags, cuddles, and plenty of smiles. All I want is a family who will love me back and give me the forever home I’ve been dreaming about. Please know that by adopting me, you’re committing to giving me a safe, loving home with good veterinary care and lots of patience while I settle in. In return, I’ll give you my whole heart every single day. Ready to bring me home? I can’t wait to meet you! 🐾

Story
Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Story
Hi, I’m Lacey! My story started in a large hoarding case where I arrived at the shelter caring for 11 puppies, including several that weren't even my own. After helping raise every one of them into happy, healthy pups, it's finally my turn to find a family of my own. While my puppies have all found homes, I'm still waiting for mine. I can be shy when meeting new people because so much of the world is still new to me, but underneath that cautious exterior is the sweetest, goofiest girl you'll ever meet. I love spending time outside, carrying my favorite toys around the yard, following my favorite people from room to room, and curling up in my cozy crate after a fun day. Other confident dogs bring out the very best in me, helping me feel brave enough to explore and just enjoy being a dog. I'm incredibly smart, curious, potty trained, crate trained, and learning more every day. My perfect home will be patient, gentle, and willing to let me build trust at my own pace. Watching me come out of my shell is something truly special, and I promise that once you earn my trust, you'll have a loyal, silly, loving best friend for life. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #3537

Story
Borque is a gentle soul looking for a family to help him blossom. Surrendered through no fault of his own, he's still adjusting to shelter life and can be a bit reserved at first. But spend a little time with him, and you'll discover a sweet boy who enjoys quiet walks on the trails and happily comes over for some gentle pets. Borque would thrive with a patient family that understands it may take him a little time to settle into a new home and build his confidence. Once he feels safe, we're sure his personality will continue to shine. He'll also need some help with house training as he adjusts to home life. If you're looking for a kind-hearted companion and have the patience to let love grow at Borque's pace, he just might be the perfect addition to your family. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #3537

Story
Hi, I’m Motley! I came to the shelter from a large hoarding case, so I’m still learning that people can be kind and the world can be a fun place to explore. I’m a curious little guy who loves checking out everything around me, and every day I grow a little more confident. While I may be shy at first, I’ve started seeking out gentle attention from people I trust and have discovered that pets actually feel pretty nice! I’ve also met several other dogs and have done well simply sharing space with them, taking everything in at my own pace. My perfect family will understand that I’m still building confidence and will give me the patience and encouragement I need to continue blossoming. Every small victory is a big deal for me, and I know that with a little love and time, I’m going to make an incredible companion. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #:3537

Story
Doug is a 4-year-old Terrier–Collie mix who’s been a deeply loved family dog for 3 years. Affectionate, smart, and well-trained he knows basic commands, loves to run, hike and adores snuggling. He’s thrived with two teen boys and a cat, is playful and enjoys games of chase, and would do well on a farm or in a multi-pet home. True to his Collie side, Doug has herding instincts and is true to his pack family (humans too) will monitor your yard and chase deer or other unwanted visitors —he needs a secure yard with a 4'+ fence, daily exercise (walks, hikes, runs), and company; he doesn’t do well alone. True to his terrier side, he is a bit anxious will greet you with reckless abandon like you’ve been gone for weeks, he is on daily anxiety and thyroid meds that must be continued to avoid mild seizures from hypothyroidism. Veterinary records will transfer. If you can provide an active, loving home, please welcome Doug into your home. Our hearts are broken but we trust he’ll find his place.

Story
Sharkey is a sensitive soul with a big heart waiting for the right person to unlock it. This timid pup may take time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he’ll be your most loyal companion. He’s looking for a wonderful home where he can build confidence at his own pace. He does well with other pups and loves to play in water! He is also house trained, kennel trained, knows the command sit, and is willing to do anything for more treats! Adoption fee is $200
