Yang **Currently Available for Adoption** Good with Kids and Dogs! Meet Yang! 4 mos./18 lb./Male/Collie Mix Name: Yang Age: 4 months Weight: 18 lbs Breed: Collie Mix Status: Bright, brilliant, and ready to steal the spotlight 🔥🐾 About Me: Hey—I’m Yang! I’m the kind of girl who doesn’t just walk into a room… I arrives. Confident, curious, and always ready for what’s next, I’ve got that fearless puppy energy mixed with a whole lot of charm. I love to play, explore, and keep life interesting—but don’t worry, I’ve got a sweet side too (you’ll see it when I’m curled up next to you after a long day of being fabulous). I’m still learning all my puppy basics, but I’m smart, engaged, and totally ready to take on the world—with you by my side. Best Qualities: • Confident, outgoing, and full of personality • Playful, energetic, and always up for an adventure • Smart and eager to learn new things • Affectionate once the fun winds down • Natural “leader of the pack” vibes My Ideal Match: • An active home that can keep up with my energy • Someone excited to train, guide, and grow with me • A family who loves adventure, playtime, and a little bit of chaos (the fun kind 😉) • Bonus if you appreciate a bold, spirited pup who keeps life exciting Deal Breakers: • Low-energy, couch-only homes—I like to move and explore • Inconsistent training or lack of structure—I thrive with direction • Being left alone too long—I want to be part of the action Fun Fact: A little bold, a little sweet… just the right mix

As a rescue, We do not euthanize dogs but dogs that are listed as URGENT are still waiting to be saved from animal control and they do euthanise. We can only save them when space is available or have an adopter. Meet MANGO the boy has found himself in animal control, he did nothing wrong his humans have abandoned him 💔☹️, they deserve a pup like him. Dog friendly, playful, loves attention, and belly rubs this is how I would describe him. Fully vetted, neutered. And microchipped. Would make a great companion, walking buddy or just relax and cuddle with you on the sofa. Adopt MANGO

Story
There are five adorable puppies in our Primrose litter of 10 week old orphans that have just joined our Connecticut Rescue: Claudia, Eliza, Marius, Primrose and Rayne. All the pups in this litter have gentle temperaments and playful, friendly personalities. Despite the chaotic shelter process, these pups have weathered the storm and show no obvious signs of trauma or neglect.  It appears that the pups’ owner unwittingly facilitated an accidental breeding of unaltered adult housemates and then was overwhelmed by puppy love. She offloaded the puppies to a high kill rural North Carolina Shelter, and we were able to transport them to our place in Canterbury, Connecticut.  We have had the puppies DNA tested, and they are a diverse mix of breeds, but 56% of that mix is Collie. The weight range is projected at 40 to 60 pounds, and their working roots suggest that adopters should be prepared to provide a lot of exercise and mental stimulation.  Any of these pups would be an excellent choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to commit to ongoing training and socialization. They have taken well to basic puppy Positive Reinforcement training techniques and seem to enjoy the learning process. We seek adopters willing to raise them as Canine Good Citizens.  All of these pups could easily join multi-dog homes with older, playful dogs, tolerant of puppy energy. They would thrive with an active single, couple or family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  All puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If you are interested in one of our Primrose litter mates, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Story
Layla is the definition of an old soul — gentle, thoughtful, and full of quiet love. She has a calm, comforting presence that makes you feel at ease the moment you meet her. After spending some time in foster, Layla made her way up to New England and has been settling in beautifully. She’s currently living with dogs of all sizes and does great with everyone, but she truly shines in a peaceful environment where she can relax and be her soft, sweet self. With her stunning collie looks (and maybe a little shepherd mixed in!), Layla is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. She’s a shy girl at first, but once she trusts you, her gentle and loving nature really comes through. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly become your whole heart. She deserves a calm, patient home that will give her the love and security she’s been waiting for "A true heart dog"  DOB @ 3/4/21/63 lbs Shepherd/Collie mix (just a guess)!dog friendly & best as second dog in homewould love a more chill home/she’s a shy galfully vetted  Fostered locally in Massachusetts - APPLY TODAY to meet her!!! *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
🐾 Meet Your New Best Friend: The Smart, Sweet, and Loyal Companion You’ve Been Waiting For! If you are looking for a loyal, intelligent, and incredibly well-behaved pup to join your adventures, look no further! This handsome, medium-sized boy is the ultimate house guest and is ready to find his forever team. 🌟 Why You’ll Fall in Love: The Ultimate Roommate: He is completely housebroken and has impeccable house manners. He doesn't jump on the furniture and has already learned that treats are enjoyed inside his crate. Social Butterfly (with Dogs): He gets along famously with other pups! He is currently coexisting beautifully with his foster sibling with absolutely zero drama. Whip-Smart & Eager to Please: He already knows his basic commands and is a fast learner. On a recent hike in the woods, he did amazing on a long-drop lead—his recall is surprisingly fantastic! The Perfect Adventure Partner: He loves being active, exploring nature, and sticking right by your side. 🏡 His Perfect Match: He is a bit of a "velcro dog" right now, which makes his recall great but also means he loves his humans deeply. Because of this, he does experience some separation anxiety. His foster family is actively working on crate training and solo time, but he will thrive best in an active household where people are home more often than not. Leash Manners: He’s not terrible on a leash, but he’s still practicing his loose-leash walking. A little continued guidance will have him walking like a pro in no time. Kids & Cats: Unknown. He ignores them when he sees them out and about, but he hasn't shared a living space with them yet. This sweet boy has so much love to give and is going to make an incredible addition to a family ready to give him the time, reassurance, and activity he craves. Ready to meet your new shadow? Contact us today to learn more or to set up a meet-and-greet! If you are interested in finding out more about Beno, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Beno is being fostered in Arlington, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
