Once playtime is over, her favorite place to be is curled up next to you on the couch. Estella is a gentle soul who is looking for a family who will give her tons of love as she builds her confidence and adapts to her new surroundings.Estella has a submissive, easygoing personality and absolutely loves playing with other dogs. She would thrive with a playful canine sibling or in a home where she can enjoy doggy friends. She also does well with both kids and cats! Estella can be on the shy side when meeting new people, taking a minute to warm up or offering submissive belly rolls, but she enjoys making new friends at her own pace. She loves to romp and play with her canine and human buddies and will bring lots of joy to her new home.Estella is house trained and crate trained! She stays in her crate consistently during the day and overnight. While she may whine for a couple of minutes to see if you’ll let her out for more cuddles, Estella settles in quickly and loves to have a relaxing sleep in her crate. This sweet girl has been working hard on her leash skills and still finds some new sounds and situations scary. She hopes that her new family will help her continue to build her confidence and give her lots of love as she perfects her leash manners and discovers how much fun walks can be.Estella blossoms more every day. Don’t you want to be the one to help her shine? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. Story
There are five adorable puppies in our Primrose litter of 10 week old orphans that have just joined our Connecticut Rescue: Claudia, Eliza, Marius, Primrose and Rayne. All the pups in this litter have gentle temperaments and playful, friendly personalities. Despite the chaotic shelter process, these pups have weathered the storm and show no obvious signs of trauma or neglect.  It appears that the pups’ owner unwittingly facilitated an accidental breeding of unaltered adult housemates and then was overwhelmed by puppy love. She offloaded the puppies to a high kill rural North Carolina Shelter, and we were able to transport them to our place in Canterbury, Connecticut.  We have had the puppies DNA tested, and they are a diverse mix of breeds, but 56% of that mix is Collie. The weight range is projected at 40 to 60 pounds, and their working roots suggest that adopters should be prepared to provide a lot of exercise and mental stimulation.  Any of these pups would be an excellent choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to commit to ongoing training and socialization. They have taken well to basic puppy Positive Reinforcement training techniques and seem to enjoy the learning process. We seek adopters willing to raise them as Canine Good Citizens.  All of these pups could easily join multi-dog homes with older, playful dogs, tolerant of puppy energy. They would thrive with an active single, couple or family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  All puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If you are interested in one of our Primrose litter mates, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Story
Meet Gingersnap This beautiful girl has quite the story. Gingersnap was found as a stray by a kind street feeder while she was still nursing. Sadly, someone had taken all of her puppies and left her behind, still full of milk. Despite everything she’s been through, Gingersnap has remained incredibly sweet and loving. She’s a dog-friendly girl with a big, happy smile and a gorgeous silky coat that makes her just as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Gingersnap is a great medium energy pup who enjoys being around other dogs and is a really nice size. She’s food motivated, making her eager to learn, and she’s already doing well walking on a leash. With her gentle personality and affectionate nature, Gingersnap is ready to leave her past behind and find the loving home she truly deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly companion with a heart of gold, Gingersnap might be your girl. 5 yo 40 lbs Collie mix very sweet & dog friendly  altered, microchipped & vaccinated ready for forever in March Apply today!!! *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
Meet the Mississippi Miracle Litter! 🐶❤️ Five tiny adventurers who beat the odds and are now ready for loving forever homes! These adorable pups were found as strays living alone on a dirt road in Mississippi — just the five of them, sticking together and doing their best to survive. When one of our amazing volunteers found them, they were SO relieved and SO grateful for the help. Now they’re safe, thriving, and blossoming into the happiest, most affectionate little pups you could ever meet. About the Litter These babies are: ✨ Loving ✨ Mischievous (in the cutest ways) ✨ Playful and full of personality ✨ People‑adoring cuddle bugs They love everyone they meet and already show so much sweetness and resilience. Their goofy antics, curiosity, and zest for life will keep you entertained all day long! Spotlight on Noah Noah is the calm, thoughtful heart of the litter — the sweet little observer who takes everything in before deciding how to join the fun. While his siblings may dive headfirst into mischief, Noah likes to watch first with those big, curious eyes… and then pounce in with perfect timing. He’s gentle but playful, loving but independent, and has the sweetest way of slipping his head into your hand as if to say, “Hey, I’m here. Love me.” He enjoys romping with his littermates, exploring the world at his own pace, and carrying toys around like prized treasures. Noah has a quiet charm that wins people over instantly. He may not be the wildest of the bunch, but he’s definitely one of the most heart-melting. Once he bonds with you, he sticks close — following you around, checking in, and giving that soft little tail wag that makes everything feel brighter. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a playful spark and a whole lot of love to give… Noah is your boy. Important Puppy Information These cuties may be adorable, but they are also full‑time commitments. As puppies, they require: 🕒 Supervision and time — They cannot be left alone more than 2–3 hours total per day. 🍽️ Feeding 3 times a day 🚽 Frequent potty breaks 🏫 Training & socializing — This is CRITICAL. Puppies need consistent exposure, structure, and bonding during these early months. 💞 Guidance, patience, and love Proper training and socialization now set the foundation for confident, well‑behaved, happy adult dogs. Without it, behavioral issues are far more likely to develop. With it? You get a loyal, loving, AMAZING family member for life. Our Request to Potential Adopters Please only apply if you are truly ready for the responsibility of raising a puppy. We take our foster pups extremely seriously. We want them to succeed — not be failed by humans again. If you can commit to training, socializing, loving, and guiding one of these wonderful babies, you will gain a companion who will adore you endlessly. Ready to Fall in Love? If you’re looking for a silly, snuggly, joyful new family member with a heart full of love and resilience… Apply now! Your perfect puppy — maybe Tova herself — is waiting for you. 🐾💛 If interested in Noah, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com. Story
Cooper Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!    Cooper is a joyful Scottish Collie with a big personality! This happy boy has been settling in beautifully, playing well with other dogs and even getting along with the kitty. Cooper is house and crate trained, food motivated, and eager to listen and learn. He loves toys (though squeaky ones still surprise him!), enjoys being brushed, and has a playful streak — recently upgrading from sock thief to full-on footwear collector. Cooper rides well in the car, loves affection and scratches, and would thrive in an active home that can continue working on his leash skills and keep up with his fun-loving energy. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter.   If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today!
