Story
There are five adorable puppies in our Primrose litter of 10 week old orphans that have just joined our Connecticut Rescue: Claudia, Eliza, Marius, Primrose and Rayne. All the pups in this litter have gentle temperaments and playful, friendly personalities. Despite the chaotic shelter process, these pups have weathered the storm and show no obvious signs of trauma or neglect.  It appears that the pups’ owner unwittingly facilitated an accidental breeding of unaltered adult housemates and then was overwhelmed by puppy love. She offloaded the puppies to a high kill rural North Carolina Shelter, and we were able to transport them to our place in Canterbury, Connecticut.  We have had the puppies DNA tested, and they are a diverse mix of breeds, but 56% of that mix is Collie. The weight range is projected at 40 to 60 pounds, and their working roots suggest that adopters should be prepared to provide a lot of exercise and mental stimulation.  Any of these pups would be an excellent choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to commit to ongoing training and socialization. They have taken well to basic puppy Positive Reinforcement training techniques and seem to enjoy the learning process. We seek adopters willing to raise them as Canine Good Citizens.  All of these pups could easily join multi-dog homes with older, playful dogs, tolerant of puppy energy. They would thrive with an active single, couple or family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  All puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If you are interested in one of our Primrose litter mates, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Meet Tengu! 9 mos./35 lb./Male/Lab/Collie Mix Name: Tengu Age: 9 months Weight: 35 lbs Breed: Lab/Collie Mix Status: Soft-spoken sweetheart seeking patient soulmate 🤍 About Me: Hi… I’m Tengu. I might hang back for a minute when we first meet — I like to observe, assess, and make sure you pass the vibe check. But give me a little time (and maybe a crunchy treat), and you’ll see my tail start to wag and my personality peek out. I’m a sensitive, thoughtful boy with that classic intelligence. I notice everything. I feel everything. And once I know I’m safe? I love with my whole heart. I’ll gently follow you around, lean into you for comfort, and look at you like you’re my entire world. I’m not the loudest guy in the room — I’m the loyal best friend who chooses you quietly and forever. Best Qualities: • Tender-hearted and deeply loyal • Smart, observant, and eager to learn • Forms meaningful bonds • Playful and silly once comfortable • Gives the sweetest “thank you for being patient with me” eyes Ideal Match: • A calm, patient home willing to go at my pace • Someone who understands that trust is built, not rushed • A family who celebrates small confidence wins • Humans who keep crunchy treats stocked at all times Deal Breakers: • Being expected to be outgoing on day one • Chaotic, overwhelming environments • Treat jars that are suspiciously empty Fun Fact: The fastest way to my heart? A perfectly crunchy snack. The louder the cronch, the deeper the bond.

Story
Meet Tucker! Adoption Fee: $399 - Includes transport Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Tucker is the last puppy waiting from his litter, and were hoping his forever family finds him before our next transport! Born around November 1, Tucker is a happy, playful, and incredibly sweet boy with a heart as beautiful as his looks. We believe he'll be medium-sized when fully grown. His handsome features make us think he may be a mix of Labrador Retriever, Collie, and perhaps even American Staffordshire Terrier—but whatever his breed mix, he's 100% adorable! Tucker has been growing up in a loving foster home where he's learned all the important things that make him an easy addition to almost any family. He's: House trained Crate trained Walks nicely on a leash Great with people, dogs, and cats Affectionate, playful, and always ready for fun Whether you're looking for a hiking buddy, a playmate for another dog, or a best friend to curl up with at the end of the day, Tucker is ready to fill that role. Our next transport arrives Friday, July 10, which means you could be welcoming Tucker home in just one week! Wed love nothing more than for him to spend the rest of the summer making memories with his forever family instead of waiting for one. If you think Tucker could be the missing piece of your family, please submit an adoption application today! We can't wait to help this wonderful boy find the loving home he deserves. Story
My neighbor inherited his mother’s dogs after she passed away. They are a bonded pair. Unfortunately the landlord won’t let them stay for much longer. We’ve tried most avenues and are doing our best to keep them out of the shelter. Both dogs are house trained, walk on leashes well, have never bit anyone (including vets), and love tuff chew toys or tug of war! They are the best super sweet and loving, a little over weight as they lived with a 80 year old woman who fed them with love and couldn’t really walk far. Rosie: 11y/o Mastiff mix Dingo: 6 y/o Blue Heeler Both dogs love being outside and are fairly quiet. Dingo will bark to alert for people at the door but it’s very minimal. They are great with kids and live with cats!
