She is a medium energy gal who loves a good romp in the yard, playing chase with her friends, and a scenic hike. She is looking for a patient person willing to give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell.Strawberry is great with other dogs and enjoys playing with her fur buddies in her foster home, approaching new dogs with a gentle, non-confrontational energy. She gains confidence from other dogs and would thrive in a home with doggy siblings or a family with lots of doggy friends. She has not been around cats, but her timid and submissive nature suggests she would likely do well with a feline sibling. She has met a few children and tends to be shy with new people at first, so she would do best with dog savvy children who will give her space. Once she warms up to new people she’s the sweetest girl. Strawberry is a bright girl who loves chew toys, bones, and chewy treats. She is fully crate trained and will even crate herself willingly. She is fully house trained, going to the door and waiting to be let out after her crate time. She walks on leash and enjoys pack walks with other dogs. Strawberry looks to her family for guidance and reassurance in new situations. She is looking for a patient and loving home to help her to continue to blossom and see that the world is a little less scary. This sweet, quirky girl has come so far already and just needs the right person to help her keep blooming. Could you be that person for Strawberry Jam?Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. Story
Max Collie is a big-hearted, sweet boy looking for a patient and understanding adopter who will help him discover the world at his own pace.Max hasn’t had much experience with the outdoors, so new sights, sounds, and experiences can feel overwhelming. When he becomes frightened, his first instinct is to run, making a secure environment and careful introductions especially important. His adopter should be prepared to build his confidence gradually and give him plenty of time, patience, and encouragement as he learns that outdoor adventures can be safe and enjoyable.Max loves meeting other dogs and may thrive in a home with a confident canine companion who can help him feel more comfortable and secure. Because Max is still learning to navigate the world, any children in his home should be older teens. Max is a very strong boy.Max is ready to begin a wonderful new chapter. If you are interested in adopting please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm, and bring your other household members and any dogs that live in the home.

Story
Cazmic has been the perfect family companion for over 11 years. He was raised with infants and small children, so he knows not to bark in the house and does not jump on people. He is very calm annd loving. No scratching, biting, growling ever. Unfortunately, he has recently had some health issues that have made it difficult for us to continue to care for him. He recently had a cancerous rectal mass removed. Since then, he has had intermittent diarrhea and requires more frequent opportunities to relieve himself. He has been house trained since he was a puppy. He still makes an attempt to notify the family he needs to be let out, but it we are unavailable (not at home), he has been having bowel movement accidents in the house. He has also battled itchy skin for the last two years. Though we love our long time companion, our busy schedules keep us from being able to meet his new care needs. He is free to a loving home that will help him age gracefully.

I'm in foster care! **If you're interested in meeting Tengu, please email info.pawfectlife@gmail.com** Tengu **Currently Available for Adoption** Good with Dogs! Meet Tengu! 9 mos./35 lb./Male/Lab/Collie Mix Name: Tengu Age: 9 months Weight: 35 lbs Breed: Lab/Collie Mix Status: Soft-spoken sweetheart seeking patient soulmate 🤍 About Me: Hi… I’m Tengu. I might hang back for a minute when we first meet — I like to observe, assess, and make sure you pass the vibe check. But give me a little time (and maybe a crunchy treat), and you’ll see my tail start to wag and my personality peek out. I’m a sensitive, thoughtful boy with that classic intelligence. I notice everything. I feel everything. And once I know I’m safe? I love with my whole heart. I’ll gently follow you around, lean into you for comfort, and look at you like you’re my entire world. I’m not the loudest guy in the room — I’m the loyal best friend who chooses you quietly and forever. Best Qualities: • Tender-hearted and deeply loyal • Smart, observant, and eager to learn • Forms meaningful bonds • Playful and silly once comfortable • Gives the sweetest “thank you for being patient with me” eyes Ideal Match: • A calm, patient home willing to go at my pace • Someone who understands that trust is built, not rushed • A family who celebrates small confidence wins • Humans who keep crunchy treats stocked at all times Deal Breakers: • Being expected to be outgoing on day one • Chaotic, overwhelming environments • Treat jars that are suspiciously empty Fun Fact: The fastest way to my heart? A perfectly crunchy snack. The louder the cronch, the deeper the bond.
