Part-time velociraptor.I’m what the humans call a “cattle dog mix,” which basically means I wake up every day with 47 jobs and no supervisor, so I assign them myself. Your job? Keeping up with me. Good luck.Let’s get the important stuff out of the way:I have energy. Not normal dog energy. Not “a nice walk will do” energy. I’m talking launch-my-body-at-your-face-because-I-love-you energy. If you bend down to tie your shoe, I will be there. If you stand still too long, I will assume you’ve powered off and will attempt to reboot you with enthusiasm (and possibly my entire body).I also come with built-in commentary. Silence? Never heard of her. I bark. I yell. I discuss my feelings loudly and often. A leaf moves? I have thoughts. You breathe weird? I have more thoughts. Silence is not really part of my brand.Because of my… let’s call it big personality, I’m looking for a very specific human: Someone who understands dogs like me—think cattle dogs, heelers, working breeds. Bonus points if you’ve previously survived one of us. Extra bonus points if you enjoy it.I’m looking for an adult-only home where I can make better life choices, no cats (I will herd them and they will not appreciate it), and I can be selective about my dog friends. Apartment life is not for me—I have too much to say and too much energy to burn.I need a human who wakes up and says, “Yes, today I will physically and mentally exhaust a small, intense athlete.” We’re talking hikes, runs, training, puzzles, games, repeat. And not just on weekends—I am a lifestyle, not a hobby. I’d really love a job. Agility? Trick training? Learning to do your taxes? I’m in. My brain goes FAST and if you don’t give it something to do, I will… get creative. You may not like my ideas.But here’s the thing—under all this chaos?I am ridiculously sweet. I LOVE to play. I LOVE my people. I will make you laugh every single day with my nonsense. Hi, I’m Ella! I’m a young adult with a gentle heart and a slightly shy spirit. I didn’t get much socialization when I was younger, so the world still feels a little big and confusing to me. But if you bring some tasty treats and give me a little time, I’ll start to trust you—and once I do, my true puppy self comes bursting out! When I’m comfortable, I’m all wiggles and bounces. I leap into your lap for love, dance around with excitement, and act like the happy, silly puppy I’ve always wanted to be. I just need someone patient to help me feel safe enough to shine. I’m looking for a home where someone is around often, because being alone still makes me nervous. I’d like to be the only dog, but I’ve shown I can be playful with cats. Mostly, I just need a human who has the time to help me learn about the world—someone who will train me, socialize me, and love me through every step of my growing up. If you’re gentle, understanding, and ready to help a shy girl blossom, I promise I’ll give you all the love and loyalty in my little puppy heart.
