Sweet Shep has a heartbreaking story, but we are holding onto hope for his happy ending. ❤️ Shep was found after spending two weeks alone with his deceased owner. We can only imagine what that time was like for him. Understandably, he was a little wary when he first came to us, but he has settled in beautifully. Shep is incredibly gentle and unassuming. He asks for so little—a quiet spot to rest, gentle pets, and someone to help him feel safe and loved. We look forward to the day we can share that Shep has found his forever home. Until then, we’ll keep reminding this sweet soul that he is safe, he is loved, and there is still so much good ahead. ❤️

Story
Shepherd is 7, we took him in a couple months back from a rough spot. He was kenneled all the time other than to go to the bathroom then back into it. He’s a good dog and is very smart. House trained and kennel trained and plays well with other dogs. I personally don’t have kids in the home but have seen him around kids and has behaved well. Wouldn’t mind keeping him but have 2 dogs prior and he’s a bit rough on my small dog. (12lb mini dachshund) Never mean just gets excited and plays a bit hard. He’s a very sweet boy who loves attention and would be perfect for someone who has time to give him the exercise and love he needs.

Meet Diesel — A Sweet Senior Looking for His Retirement Home 🐾 Diesel is a lovable, approximately 13-year-old Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel mix who has spent the last 12 years being a cherished family companion. At approximately 40 pounds, Diesel is a gentle, affectionate boy who gets along wonderfully with children, cats, and other dogs. He’s neutered and has a sweet personality. As he’s gotten older, Diesel has developed mild arthritis and experiences occasional bathroom accidents. He needs a loving and understanding home with someone who can provide frequent bathroom breaks and help manage his senior-care needs. Diesel would be a wonderful companion for someone who is retired, a family with other pets, or simply has the time to give an older dog the attention he deserves. My circumstances have changed and I am now a single mother and I work very long hours to keep up with everything financially. We now live in a apartment and he is stuck inside most days. Diesel deserves more.
