Story
This handsome hunk of fluff is Peyton! This sweet boy was rescued from unfortunate living conditions where he had spent the first 8 years of his life. Peyton is ready to start his new life now! Despite his past, he is very sweet and eager to meet new people with a smile on his face. Peyton would love a home where he can enjoy a soft bed (or couch!) to relax on. Peyton deserves a quiet, safe home after what he has been through. If you are looking for a dog that will love you unconditionally and show nothing but gratitude, then Peyton is your guy! Trust us, you won't regret it! If you are local to the area and interested in meeting Peyton, please visit www.crcpa.org and complete an application!

Story
Tyson-Collie/Shepard X male, ~4-5yr. (Jan. 2019) Tyson was found by a Rescue volunteer, abandon and starving in a back yard in her small rural community. The people had just left him behind. She took Tyson in and he's lived with her family now. We know that Tyson does have a few medical issues. Things he can live with but adopters should be aware of. He has bone spurs on his lower spine. Sometimes, after being crated, he moves stiff and it is noticable. He also may have some vision issues on one side of his head. Very hard to tell as he compensates for it well. Tyson is used to living with other dogs and cats, but would really be happiest in a home as a single dog. He enjoys walks and human interaction. For more information on Tyson, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
These spicy pups are more than just super cute and super fluffy... They are social, playful, and goofy. They have energy for daysssss and will need a fenced in, decent sized yard with intentional activity to help direct that energy. They are showing a little bit of herding instinct so kids over knee-high would be best, and cat testing/separating would be on you. They are otherwise great with kids, dogs, and very food motivated. This trio traveled to us from Puerto Rico where they battled fleas, lice, and a rough environment. Their sanctuary patched them up but they each have some hair spots still growing back. Best guess on breed is Heeler and Collie and similar mixes, and they are around 12 weeks old. Each is spayed/neutered, microchipped, have all 3 parvo/distemper vaccines, bordatella vaccine, and are UTD on monthly preventatives. To add one to your family, please send us a detailed application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com. The adoption would be within 2-3 days of applying and the entire family must be present. Meet Oakley PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us. Oakley is ready to find his perfect home. He does think he is totally a lap dog (at 40 pounds) and is the best cuddler. Best guess is maybe some heeler, some type of collie? about medium energy. Probably approaching a year old, he may have a little bit of growing still to do and he still has lots of puppy in him. Outgoing and good with other dogs, seems mostly housebroken, getting used to a crate at night. Everyone who has met him falls instantly in love. Would love a doggie friend and room to run. It is hard to picture that this amazing dog was set to die in a high kill shelter. APPLY AT ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG (click on the word "Adopt" at top of page to find the dropdown menu with application) The adoption fee is $425, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. Puppies under 6 months of age may go to adoptive homes before they are spayed/neutered with a spay/neuter contract. Adopters who choose to adopt a puppy that has not yet been spayed/neutered are subject to an additional deposit of $100 (refundable upon proof of spay/neuter prior to the contracted date.) Included in the adoption fee, the rescue will arrange spay/neuter by a partner vet at a predetermined appointment when the puppy is between 7-9 months of age. It is the responsibility of the adopter to bring the adopted puppy back to the rescue vet for spaying/neutering or, if they choose, to send verification from their own vet (at the adopter's own cost) that the puppy had been spayed/neutered. All of our dogs will be microchipped. Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Find our application on our website, almosthomedogs.org, then click on "Adopt" tab at top We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment.

Story
Joey is a loving boy. He is does well with 3 little kids running around and playing on him. Unfortunately we are moving out of the country and are unable to bring him with us. He is a bit anxious around other dogs, so a home without other dogs would be ideal.
