Story
Located in Centreville, VA Meet Carmie! 💕 At just over 40 pounds and around 1 year old, Carmie is a sweet, petite package with a big personality. Carmie is incredibly smart, observant, and highly trainable, with a loyal and loving nature toward her people. She’s also a wonderful house guest—respectful of her environment, happy to greet everyone, and guaranteed to make you smile with her playful antics and affectionate “love bombing.” Carmie was diagnosed with a heart condition as a puppy, but it’s now well-managed with medication. 💕 What we love about Carmie • Loves people—family, friends, and strangers alike • Enjoys treats, puzzles, and toys • Potty trained • Crate trained • Not destructive (unless you’re a stuffie… then it’s fair game) • Knows sit, down, come, off, stay, and leave it • Loves car rides and outings 🏡 What Carmie needs • A family committed to keeping up with her heart medication and continued training • An active home and moderate physical and mental exercise • A secure yard • A dog sibling could be a fit with slow, thoughtful introductions 📚 What Carmie is still working on • Leash skills (wants to chase all the squirrels!) • Recall • Polite reactions to other dogs on walks and during “window patrol” Carmie has spent the past few months in foster care while her heart condition was being evaluated and managed, growing from a puppy into a confident adolescent. During that time, she’s shown she can enjoy other dogs but may do best as the only dog or with a calm companion and slow introductions. If you’ve been searching for a sweet and sassy sidekick—equal parts brains, beauty, and personality—Carmie is your girl!🐾

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Let me introduce you to Annie ❤️   Annie is a beautiful Red Heeler with a heart to match. While she’s been raising her puppies, she’s also been showing everyone exactly who she is—and it’s something special.   Her foster mom says if she didn’t already have five dogs of her own, Annie would be staying. That alone tells you everything you need to know.   Annie has all the best traits of a cattle dog—she’s smart, attentive, loyal, and deeply connected to her people. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of your world, whether that’s helping you with daily life or simply being by your side.   And underneath that classic Heeler intelligence is a very sweet, gentle soul. She’s loving, steady, and has done an incredible job raising her puppies.   Annie is ready for a home of her own now—a place where she’s not just the mama, but someone’s heart dog.   If you know and love the spirit of a good cattle dog, Annie may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.   Apply to adopt Annie and give this wonderful girl the life she deserves. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them.
