Meet David Bowie! Take one look at my photo and you’ll see how I got my name: one ice-blue eye, one warm brown eye, and two giant radar ears! I’m David Bowie, a one-year-old Collie/Husky mix, and at an easy 32 pounds, I'm the ultimate compact companion. I'm naturally shy around new people and take my time warming up, but once I know I'm safe, I soften right up. In the house, my foster mom says I’m remarkably calm and chill. I don't bark, I listen well, and I have an easy, peaceful routine when it’s time to go to bed. Loud noises and fast movements make me jump, and I can be a little head-shy at first, but once we're bonded, my favorite move is sticking right against your legs like a little shadow. (I take treats with the gentlest mouth, and I just ask for a quiet corner to eat my dinner in peace! ) Other dogs are where my goofy side comes out! I play so nicely with furry friends and even threw a play-bow to my own reflection in the mirror. Having a confident, friendly dog sibling at home would be huge for showing me the ropes. Because quick movements still startle me, a patient, low-key home without young kids is where I’ll do best. I’m already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccines. Meet this handsome 4-month-old Collie mix! 🐾 Scout is being fostered in Mississippi, but included in your adoption fee is transport to you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport which is the most animal friendly transport on the road! At approximately 18 pounds, this sweet boy is the perfect age to start learning all the things that make a great family companion. He’s already learning to sit on command and is beginning to understand the ropes of housetraining. He is currently being fostered with an older dog who is helping show him the how to be a good canine companion. Having a confident dog around has been a great way for this little guy to learn and build his social skills. Of course, he’s still a puppy, so his new family will need to be patient, consistent, and ready for all the fun (and occasional mischief!) that comes with puppyhood. He’ll need continued work on housetraining, basic commands, manners, and all of the important Puppy Training 101 lessons. He will be neutered on October 9 and will be ready for adoption after this. Cindy is a beautiful 11 year old collie. Her only owner died last month and she been unable to find a new home. She is very sweet and loves walks and getting brushed and cuddling. She has just been the vet and has been groomed. She does have incontinence and requires medication and a diaper overnight and during periods longer than 3-4 hours. She also is not good with other dogs, cats, or smaller animals.
