Meet Charlotte, born 1/14/26, a friendly, loving female German Shepherd and Collie mix weighing approximately 30 pounds.
Charlotte came to the shelter alongside her sister, Bits, when their previous owner could no longer care for them. These sweet girls knew very little of the world when they first arrived, but they have proven to be incredible fast learners. They are currently working hard on learning how to walk politely on a leash as well as mastering basic commands like sit, off, and come. While making big progress in a busy shelter environment can be tough, Charlotte is exceptionally smart and is sure to flourish in a home with regular consistency and guidance.
Like her sister, Charlotte has a wonderfully affectionate, eager-to-please personality and a energetic heart that is built for adventure. Raised around kids, she is fantastic with family members of all sizes and would make an amazing companion for an active home. She gets along great with other dogs and showed a healthy, cautious respect during her shelter cat test, understanding completely that cats run the show. Slow introduction and monitoring is still recommended. Charlotte has done a stellar job keeping her kennel clean during her stay, though she does have one special request: when it comes to dinnertime, she prefers to enjoy her meals in peace without other dogs around! Because she likely had to guard her food in her past life, she is protective of her bowl around fellow canines (though perfectly fine with humans), so she just needs her own quiet dining space to feel secure.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Charlotte is a suggested minimum of $160 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
