Story
Meet Wilson! Wilson is looking for someone to grow old with.  He is a 9 year-old herding mix ( Border Collie, Cattle Dog, McNab, and a little mystery mixed in), and after spending his entire life with a family who was home with him nearly all the time, he's now searching for a new beginning. He's the kind of dog who doesn't ask for much. A soft bed. A few treats. A predictable routine. Most of all, someone to simply be with. Wilson is housebroken, rides great in the car, and once he trusts you, he's an incredibly sweet, affectionate companion. He'll quietly follow you from room to room, happy just knowing you're nearby. He's not demanding—he just loves being with his people. He can be shy with strangers and needs a little time to warm up, but kindness and patience are rewarded with unwavering loyalty. He'd be happiest as your one and only, though he may do well with calm, respectful dogs. (Cats are unknown.) Wilson could stand to lose a few pounds, so he'd love a family who will enjoy leisurely walks and help him get back into shape. And if you happen to have treats... he'll gladly show you the tricks he knows.  Senior dogs have so much love left to give. Wilson isn't looking for perfection—just someone willing to give him the chance to feel safe, loved, and home again. If you think Wilson might be the companion you've been looking for, please send us a message. And if you can't adopt, sharing his post could help him find the family he deserves. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Willow! The sweetest shadow you’ll ever have! Willow is a gentle, 10 month old girl weighing about 38 pounds. She has a beautiful black coat, with a patch of white on her chest and adorable speckled toes. She’s a calm, loving soul who settles easily into a calm home life and just wants to be close to her person. This little lady is fully crate trained, wonderfully polite, and loves nothing more than curling up on the couch or quietly dozing under your desk while you work from home. Willow can be a bit timid at first, but she warms up quickly and soon becomes your loyal companion. Once she trusts you, she’ll follow you everywhere with her signature, soft, sweet presence. Willow gets along with other calm dogs, enjoys being outdoors, and—being young—would make the perfect adventure buddy for someone who loves exploring. Whether you’re heading out for a weekend hike or simply relaxing at home, Willow is happy as long as she’s by your side. Willow lacks confidence outside and needs a capable handler who can help her feel less anxious in her environment. She needs another dog in the home to help build confidence. Willow would prefer a more calm home with older kids. She is just settling into her foster home and while she is doing well, we know she is still decompressing and trying to adjust to her new situation. When she moves to her forever home, a little patience will help her a lot. If you’re looking for a tenderhearted, easy-going companion who will bring warmth and quiet joy into your life, Willow might just be your girl. Willow is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $525   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Leona! Leona is a 1-year-old, 54 lb Collie/Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. With her stunning, fox-like features and expressive face, she’s as beautiful as she is full of personality! Leona is smart, sweet, loving, and a little silly — but she also comes with a big dose of energy! This active girl is always ready for adventure and will need a home that can keep up with her physically and mentally. Hiking, exploring, training, and staying busy are right up her alley. She does well with other dogs and enjoys playtime, though she can be a bit bossy and forward in her play style. Leona likes to play rough and can take on a bit of a “leader” role, so she’ll do best with dogs who can match her energy and confidence. She is also strong and still working on her manners, so continued training and guidance will be important. Because busy environments can be overstimulating for her, Leona would do best in a home outside of dense city living — somewhere she can have space, structure, and a consistent routine to help her thrive. With her intelligence and eagerness, Leona has so much potential to be an incredible companion for someone with working breed experience and who’s ready to invest in her training and give her the active lifestyle she craves. If you’re looking for a beautiful, high-energy adventure partner with a big personality, Leona might be your girl! Leona is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
🐾 Looking for the Best Home for the Best Boy 🐾 Due to a move to a home that doesn't allow dogs, we're heartbroken to be looking for a new family for our amazing Collie. At 9 years old, he's the perfect combination of calm, loving, and adventurous. He'll happily join you for hikes, runs, beach days, and walks, but he's just as content curling up beside you for cuddles. He truly adapts to any lifestyle. He's wonderful with kids, dogs, and cats, and was highly trained as a therapy dog, volunteering in hospitals, children places or retirement homes. He has earned his Canine Good Citizen certification and has impeccable manners. Don't let his age fool you—he still has plenty of energy, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. He receives Adequan shots every two weeks for prevention and mobility. More than anything, he's incredibly loyal and affectionate. He's the kind of dog who becomes your shadow, your adventure buddy, and your best friend all at once.

Story
Bear is 1/2 rough collie 1/2 golden retriever. He will turn 2 on 9/7 and is one of the best puppies around who thinks he’s a lap dog even though he’s much bigger than your lap. Ideally a single dog/single pet home that has the time to keep up with his energy. He does well on walks and just loves to be the center of attention. He has the best doofus lip when his teeth get stuck on his lip and just wants to be loved. He has been around small kids and babies but he still has the energy and sometimes manners of a puppy. We want him to go to a good home that will take the best care of him. He has an appointment on 7/13 to get neutered. If you’re the lucky winner of this special puppy, we will still cover the cost of it if you take him to the clinic we have him scheduled at in Tacoma.

Story
Meet Santina aka Sadie! Santina is a 2 1/2 year old smart, sweet and loving girl. She is great at home and very well behaved. Loves to have family and friends come for visits encouraging all to participate in her weakness for a good tummy rub. Her ideal day is running around a large fenced area chasing a ball and playing hide and seek in a field. She does better in a quiet neighborhood where she can get her exercise playing in your big backyard. She will need more help with leash walks in busy areas. She will probably do best as the only dog in a household. Being a Blue Heeler mix, she is a devoted companion who loves to please and is eager to sit, stay, wait, lie down, heel, and come when you call for a yummy treat. Story
Meet Beanz! Beanz is a newer addition to our rescue, but she’s already stealing hearts! For two long years, she survived in the fields of Eastern WA, living off workers’ lunches to get by. A kind woman finally took her in and helped her find her way to us. In her temporary foster home, Beanz has shown she’s social, affectionate, and smart. She’s great with people, good with other dogs, and even lived briefly with a bunny and a cat—doing well with both. She’s house-trained, knows basic commands, comes when called, and loves the outdoors. She’s not a big fan of the crate, but her gentle nature makes her a joy to be around. Unfortunately, her current foster can only keep her for a short time. Beanz also needs a foster who can help her through upcoming medical care—she has a luxating patella and will need an FHO surgery on her hip from an old injury. If you can give Beanz a safe, loving place to heal, please fill out a foster application today at RedWagginRescue.org. With your help, this sweet girl can get the care she needs and the love she’s always deserved. ****************************************************************** ADOPTION INFO Dog adoption fees include: - All Basic Dog Vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay (Up to $400) - Neuter (Up to $300) - Microchip & Registration All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue. Story
Meet Tito! Tito, between 2 and 3 years, is a friendly pup and will make someone a great companion. When he joined the rescue, he was given the chance to join the Ridge Dogs training program. He's now in a foster home and showing all of his new skills. Tito can be shy when meeting new people but has come a long way in coming out of his shell. His foster mom says he's sweet and gentle. He loves playing chase with his favorite toys, going on walks, and gazing out the window. They're working on him following commands off-leash more consistently and also working on his on-leash skills; he still is an enthusiastic walker who can pull. Tito is finally shaping up into the diamond we knew he would be. If you need a great pup in your life, consider Tito!
