Please apply at www.welcomepawsrescue.org ▶ (relationship with dogs) : He is very curious about dogs, but he doesn't like to play with the other dogs. ▶ (relationship with cats) : He doesn't have a problem with cats. When the cats run away or hides, he doesn't look for it or chase them. ▶ (relationship with people) : He loves people so much. And he is friendly and good with kids. ▶ (house trained) : Outdoor defecation He urinates while he is taking a walk. He defecates outside the house twice normally. (He never urinates or defecates at home!) ▶ (walks on leash) : He has no resistance to leash. He is very fond of taking a walk. ▶ (special notes) : When a motorcycle catches his eyes, he tries to chase the motorcycle. (I'm teaching about it that’s why he tries not to follow the motorcycle.) He has a joint problem. Sometimes it seems hard for him to run for a long time. He likes people so much that he wants to get attentions that’s why he approaches people actively. He jumps when he greets people. But He is often not favorable to other dogs. When the other dog shows little bit of aggressiveness then Deok Bae takes an attacking stance or barks. He is sensitive to the sounds like TV and so on that’s why he sometimes whines. Location : Korea

Story
* KRAKEN CALENDAR FEATURE DOG * Yes, Ellie is in the 2023 Kraken Calendar with Buoy! Animal Profile: Ellie is an estimated 3-year-old female mixed breed who was rescued as a stray on the streets of Texas. She currently weighs about 50 lbs. Seattle Foster Update: Ellie is a fun-loving and affectionate dog who has never met a stranger and enjoys pets, belly rubs, and playing fetch with all people. She loves to do zoomies and is so funny when she runs at full speed -- she makes the funniest faces! She is super smart and food motivated which is helpful with training, but she also lacks impulse control so she will need a structured home that can set and consistently enforce boundaries. Ellie now has a good training foundation, knows loose leash walking with a confident handler, and is crate trained and potty trained. Ellie loves to play with other dogs but can be a bit pushy with her play style so would do best with a tolerant playful dog in the home or as the only dog. Though she is friendly with children, her exuberant nature makes us believe she would be best in a home with adults only or older children. Adopter Profile:  Large dog experience required Other tolerant dogs considered No cats preferred Older kids OK Fenced yard required Ability to continue with training Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ellie joined us from our Texas rescue partner on February 16, 2022. She was fostered in the greater Seattle area and adopted and then many months later returned for being "out of control;" she had not been trained. She is currently in a training-savvy foster home and doing great. She is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. December 6, 2023, 12:15 am

Story
Animal Profile: Eclipse is an approximately 11-month-old male border collie mix (best guess) that joined us from Bakersfield, CA. He is very sweet and gets along with all dogs and people.  Border Collies are a working breed that's known for its stamina and intelligence. Foster Update: Meet    Eclipse, an approximately 11-month-old male McNab Collie/ Border Collie (best guess). Eclipse is a bundle of energy and a true adventurer at heart. His boundless enthusiasm for life makes every day with him an exciting journey. Eclipse is not just active; he's also a big sensitive sweetheart. Whether it's chasing after balls, going on hikes, or simply romping around in the yard, Eclipse is always up for fun. This little dynamo has a special love for water and never misses a chance to splash around in lakes, rivers, or even a good old garden hose. But what sets Eclipse apart isn't just his exuberance; it's his remarkable sensitivity and sweet disposition. Eclipse is incredibly empathetic, always there to offer a comforting nuzzle when you need it most. And when it comes to intelligence, Eclipse is a bona fide Einstein in the canine world, quick to learn new tricks and always up for a challenge. Eclipse is not just a pet; he's a loyal companion who brings joy, energy and an abundance of love into every aspect of his owner's life. Due to his athleticism and agility, a fenced yard is essential. He cannot live in an apartment because of his energy level and vocal tendencies. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia in Bakersfield California. He has been in foster care for over four months and is ready to find his forever home.December 6, 2023, 12:15 am

Story
Disclaimer: I'm currently soaking up the Texas sun, but the great news is that I can be transported to my forever home once adopted, and the transport fee is $230.My journey began when I was surrendered, along with my four precious puppies, because my family couldn't provide the care I needed. I'm a bundle of energy and an incredible jumper! My foster mom thinks I have all the potential to excel in agility training courses. While I absolutely adore the company of other dogs, I'm not a fan of being on my own, so a home with a calmer dog would be a perfect fit to help me settle. I'm a social butterfly who cherishes my human companions and still carries that puppy-like spirit in my heart. In my previous home, I was raised alongside three children, aged 8 to 16, so I'm sure to thrive in an energetic family environment. If you're looking for a furry friend who's ready to embark on adventures with you, look no further. Apply today and let's make a fantastic team!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Tommy was found wandering the streets of Ensenada, dirty, full of ticks, very thin and with mange, but the most shocking thing was the tumor hanging from his groin, approximately 15cm in diameter. At the vet's office it was more feasible to amputate his penis and remove the tumor that was rooted to it, however we made the fight to not have to amputate it, and he was given about 15 chemotherapies so that the tumor reached 4 cm in diameter and could be removed. He only needed 2 more chemo treatments and today he is ready for his new home! He is a VERY loyal, loving dog, and is always by your side, looking for cuddles, affection and loves to be kissed. He is a dog that even though he doesn't get along well with other males, he is good with females and puppies, although sometimes he is a little grumpy, he prefers the tranquility and the company of humans. He always has a scolding face! We guess it's his way of blackmailing us to give him treats, haha. But he is one of the cutest dogs we have in the shelter, he has certainly won our hearts. He is an excellent traveler, he knows perfectly well how to ride in a car, and he loves walks, seeing new places and above all, sleeping in a big bed at the end of the day. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transportation to Rowland Heights, Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation. The transportation fee is around $150.

Story
Khaos is a great dog. He knows lots of tricks and is such a sweetheart. He has grown up with a husky, but is aggressive towards other dogs while out walking. He really needs a yard to run in, or a farm that can teach him to herd. He is Border Collie and Blue Heeler mix. Due to some unexpected financial hardships and an increase in workload our home is no longer the best place for him to be. He is 10 months old. Up to date on shots and has been neutered the rehoming fee is to ensure someone will take care of him and also to pay off the rest of the vet bill to have him neutered.
