He’ll need an adopter with herding-breed/large dog experience who’s excited to work with him mentally and physically. Stetson enjoys training, loves being with his people, and would thrive in a home that offers daily exercise, structure, and continued training! Stetson does well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine sibling, but he could also do well as an only dog as long as his adopters commit to continued socialization. He’s strong and fast, and while he walks well on leash most of the time, he can pull when excited. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! Tommy is a cute and cuddly little boy with an eternally cute face. He was found on the streets with a tumor about 5.5" in diameter in his belly. He lasted a year in treatment with chemotherapy and medication and needed surgery to remove the remaining encapsulated mass. In addition to needing special food to break up a stone bladder, he has ultrasounds to make sure he don't get sediment in his bladder every three months. He is currently a healthy, happy, loving and tender dog. He is very loyal and protective, intelligent and playful. He don't get along well with alpha male dogs, but plays well with puppies and females. He is sociable with children and adults. Tommy is a Border collie mix, and is smaller than a Border collie. When you talk to him he makes a cute and cuddly face, ducks his head and rolls his eyes upwards, I think he knows he is cute and takes advantage of that. Tommy is a dog to spoil, to cuddle and to give him lots of love, since his first family didn't give him all he deserved.
