Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Leona! Leona is a 1-year-old, 54 lb Collie/Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. With her stunning, fox-like features and expressive face, she’s as beautiful as she is full of personality! Leona is smart, sweet, loving, and a little silly — but she also comes with a big dose of energy! This active girl is always ready for adventure and will need a home that can keep up with her physically and mentally. Hiking, exploring, training, and staying busy are right up her alley. She does well with other dogs and enjoys playtime, though she can be a bit bossy and forward in her play style. Leona likes to play rough and can take on a bit of a “leader” role, so she’ll do best with dogs who can match her energy and confidence. She is also strong and still working on her manners, so continued training and guidance will be important. Because busy environments can be overstimulating for her, Leona would do best in a home outside of dense city living — somewhere she can have space, structure, and a consistent routine to help her thrive. With her intelligence and eagerness, Leona has so much potential to be an incredible companion for someone with working breed experience and who’s ready to invest in her training and give her the active lifestyle she craves. If you’re looking for a beautiful, high-energy adventure partner with a big personality, Leona might be your girl! Leona is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
Meet Willow! The sweetest shadow you’ll ever have! Willow is a gentle, 10 month old girl weighing about 38 pounds. She has a beautiful black coat, with a patch of white on her chest and adorable speckled toes. She’s a calm, loving soul who settles easily into a calm home life and just wants to be close to her person. This little lady is fully crate trained, wonderfully polite, and loves nothing more than curling up on the couch or quietly dozing under your desk while you work from home. Willow can be a bit timid at first, but she warms up quickly and soon becomes your loyal companion. Once she trusts you, she’ll follow you everywhere with her signature, soft, sweet presence. Willow gets along with other calm dogs, enjoys being outdoors, and—being young—would make the perfect adventure buddy for someone who loves exploring. Whether you’re heading out for a weekend hike or simply relaxing at home, Willow is happy as long as she’s by your side. Willow lacks confidence outside and needs a capable handler who can help her feel less anxious in her environment. She needs another dog in the home to help build confidence. Willow would prefer a more calm home with older kids. She is just settling into her foster home and while she is doing well, we know she is still decompressing and trying to adjust to her new situation. When she moves to her forever home, a little patience will help her a lot. If you’re looking for a tenderhearted, easy-going companion who will bring warmth and quiet joy into your life, Willow might just be your girl. Willow is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $525   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Stetson! Stetson is a 2-year-old, 62 lb Australian Shepherd/Collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. He’s a big, sweet, teddy-bear of a dog with a beautiful coat and looking to be someone’s next adventure buddy! This handsome boy is smart, treat-motivated, and very active. He’ll need an adopter with herding-breed/large dog experience who’s excited to work with him mentally and physically. Stetson enjoys training, loves being with his people, and would thrive in a home that offers daily exercise, structure, and continued training! Stetson does well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine sibling, but he could also do well as an only dog as long as his adopters commit to continued socialization. He’s strong and fast, and while he walks well on leash most of the time, he can pull when excited. He can also be mouthy and jump up when overstimulated, so a home with no small children is recommended — dog-savvy kids 12+ could possibly be okay. When he’s not on the move, Stetson loves rolling around in the grass, soaking up attention, and just being close to his people. He’s affectionate, goofy, and deeply loving ~ a loyal companion for the right active home! Stetson is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Mary – The Mom of the Neverland Crew and Adventure Extraordinaire! 👑🐾 At 2 years old and a sweet 75 pounds, Mary is the kind of dog who commands respect… and cuddles. Named after Wendy Darling’s mom, she’s every bit the leading lady of her pack, balancing her mom energy with a heart as big as Texas. Her crew are ready to their own forever homes and it's Mary's turn to be the center of attention. Her energy level is just right—not a couch potato, but not a wild tornado either—so she’s perfect for a family that loves moderate playtime and plenty of snuggle breaks. She’s proven herself super sweet with kids as young as six, showing patience and gentle manners that would melt the heart of any parent. Mary has been living outside recently but is house trained and very clever, so she’s ready to step back inside and become your loyal, loving companion. Story
Welcome Kai to CCPAL Rescue foster program.  Kai is a very sweet girl, she is just about 1 year old. She is a German Shepherd/Smooth Collie (BorderCollie)  She weighs about 60 pounds and should stay medium sized.  She is good on a leash, good with other dogs.  She is mostly with her sister in her foster home.  She uses a doggy door and is good on leash and in a car.  She is fully potty trained and very smart.  She is good with children and likes toys.  She would be best with someone that is active and outdoorsy.  She would be fine as an only dog or would be good with another dog.  She will be a fun one to train.  She has good eye contact and attention to who is speaking with her.  She has one upright ear and one that is not.  She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed and ready for her forever home.  She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.  She would be a great family companion and could go with children.  We like children to be 8 or older.  Please be patient when you put in your application. Adoption fee for Kia is $400 and transport is $200.  This is a very desirable breed mix.   We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
WOOF! I'M ROCCO! I'm a 2-year-old Border Collie-Flat-Coat mix in need of a foster or forever home! I was recently rescued from a crowded California shelter, where I was impounded as a stray. I then was adopted, but returned less than 24 hours later as someone in the house had allergies. Fortunately I was rescued and now am ready for a foster or forever home! I have done great with other dogs and am a happy, playful boy. I love to play with other dogs and hang out with humans. I weigh 59 lbs. Could you foster or adopt me? I'm currently in California but can be transported to Washington. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET ROCKY, a 2-year-old Australian Kelpie in need of a foster or forever home! Rocky is a very affectionate dog who loves his human! He would do well with someone who works from home or is retired, as he loves to be with people. Rocky weighs only 40 lbs., and is a loving boy. He's done well with other dogs in the past, though we can test him further. Kelpies are intelligent dogs, believed to have been descended from Border Collies. They love to be stimulated with walks and other activities. Rocky would do best in an active home where he can go for walks, hikes or other outings. He's currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Washington. Please email for an application.

I was rescued from a California shelter along with my sisters, who now have been adopted. So now it's time for me to get noticed! I am a relatively small girl - about 40-45 pounds - and would do well in a and active and quiet home with people who can take me for walks, hikes and other outings.
