Meet Bits, born 1/14/26, a friendly, loving, female German Shepherd and Collie mix weighing approximately 30 pounds.
Bits came to the shelter with her sister, Charlotte, when their previous owner could no longer care for them. These sweet girls knew very little of the world when they first arrived, but they have proven to be incredible fast learners. They are currently working hard on learning how to walk politely on a leash as well as mastering basic commands like sit, off, and come. While making big progress in a busy shelter environment can be tough, Bits is exceptionally smart and is sure to flourish in a home with regular consistency and guidance.
This loving girl truly longs to be right by your side and aims to please in everything she does. She has wonderful high energy and would make an amazing companion for an active family looking for a playmate. Bits gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets. During her shelter cat test, she showed a healthy amount of fear and reservation, clearly aware that cats are sharp and in charge, though a close eye and proper introductions are still recommended as she continues learning. She has also done a stellar job keeping her kennel clean during her stay.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Bits is a suggested minimum of $160 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
