Story
Just check out the eyes on this boy named Ridge!  So full of personality!  A fine 10-month-old Collie mix, he weighs 45 pounds, maturing to between 50 and 55 pounds.  With his long coat of black, white, and a hint of brown throughout, he makes quite the picture!  He’s also a pup with a fine temperament.  He loves to play with people and other dogs.  Ridge is a sweetheart who would be a great addition to your family!  (posted 4/25/23, ME) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $375 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  June 1, 2023, 1:09 pm

Story
Tyson-Collie/Shepard X male, ~4-5yr. (Jan. 2019) Tyson was found by a Rescue volunteer, abandon and starving in a back yard in her small rural community. The people had just left him behind. She took Tyson in and he's lived with her family now. We know that Tyson does have a few medical issues. Things he can live with but adopters should be aware of. He has bone spurs on his lower spine. Sometimes, after being crated, he moves stiff and it is noticable. He also may have some vision issues on one side of his head. Very hard to tell as he compensates for it well. Tyson is used to living with other dogs and cats, but would really be happiest in a home as a single dog. He enjoys walks and human interaction. For more information on Tyson, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
This is the story of Monty, a special 3-4 year old boy who has come a very long way since coming to the rescue almost a year ago.  He was picked up by animal control in rural Virginia were he had been seen wandering loose for several months.  When he came to the rescue he was in rough shape: very underweight, almost no coat, numerous parasite infections, and very anxious & scared of everything. Monty spent a lot of time in isolation where he won the hearts of the amazing staff who got him back to good health so that he could be ready to move to a foster home.  When he finally moved to a foster home, everything about being in a house was new to him and it took him a number of weeks to acclimate to the sights, sounds, smells, and routine of being in a house and his new neighborhood. While he did gain the trust of his foster family early on, he is still very anxious about many things.   Daytime walks with the sight of other people, bikes, buses, and dogs from afar get him wound up.  His foster realized that they just needed to manage the behavior and adjust.  The result:  Monty is pretty much a big lug around the house.  Low key for the most part spending his day just lounging around the house keeping his people close, looking for chin rubs, napping, supervised romps in the yard and night time walks.  He’s crate trained, knows some basic commands, doesn’t have any separation issues, not a chewer but loves to work on his beef bone when given the chance. He’s come a long way but he’s still a work in progress.  We’re thinking that the best home for him would be low key, set in a more rural setting – without too much outside stimulation – and a family with knowledge and patience that will allow him to continue his adjustment and just be the great dog he is.If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Story
I’m Nayla!  I was born in November 2019.  I’m a playful collie who loves to play with other dogs and meet new people.  One of my favorite things to do is run, run, run!  I am known to be an active girl who can run quite fast and play hard with my friends, but I settle down nicely at night time. I’m living with a foster family right now, who says I am very sweet and loving.  My current routine is to go out for potty time at 8 a.m., eat breakfast, then go for a walk.  I really enjoy exploring the neighborhood and meeting new people. Depending on when my foster mom is available, I am lucky enough to get outside several times a day.  I eat dinner around 5 p.m., go for one last walk outside, then do a final potty break before bedtime. You can sometimes find me hanging out inside my crate for a nap, as I don’t mind being in a crate. I enjoy being brushed, and am leaning basic commands like come, sit, stay, and heel. I walk well on a leash and am getting better every day.  I’m a great collie pup who can’t wait to find a new family who can play with me!If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Story
Nola is a very, very sweet little collie. She's still getting used to a suburban environment - streets! cars! neighbors!  But she is warming up quickly. Nola plays with the other collies in her foster home and follows their lead while she learns about this new world. She likes people and is hungry for love.  Nola leans against her foster mom and paws delicately for more when petting stops. She's curious about everything new and watches carefully until she understands and feels comfortable. Nola is a small collie, currently about 35 pounds, and she could use a few more.  But at one year old, she has achieved close to her full growth. She is a runway model with long legs that criss-cross in front of her as she trots! She is gentle and quiet, rarely barks, and never mouths. She plays with her own feet and tail and is just starting to learn about toys. With patient and loving humans, no doubt she will blossom into an elegant and devoted companion! If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire.
