Story
Clyde is our newest coonhound rescue. He's been at a boarding place in Virginia for several months, where he was left by another well-meaning rescue that ultimately couldn't take him. Clyde is a loving, friendly hound who enjoys attention from everyone. He walked in the local parade and happily greeted everyone - what a great coonhound ambassador! Clyde is about 5 years old and weighs about 53 lbs. He's an energetic hound who would love an active playmate and a fenced yard or an adopter who will get him out for walks several times a day. Clyde has arrived and is ready for visits in southern NH. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below. Application link (please copy and paste into your browser's address bar) https://ws.ishelters.com/application.php?k=coonhOUnd&t=Coonhound%20Adoption About our rescue We are a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. However, meet and greets are set up for approved applicants. Our Adoption Process Visit our website www.necoonhoundrescue.org for information about the Coonhound and Beagle breeds. Read ‘Is a Coonhound Right for You’. If you'd like to apply, our application is available at the link above. Once we review your application one of our Adoption Counselors will be in touch to review it with you. Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.

Hound Lovers take notice! Meet the Natchez pups!! Four boys and three girls! These gorgeous puppies were brought into this world when an amazing family realized that a beautiful Bluetick Coonhound, now named Natchez. was found in the Natchez Trace Trail in Mississippi. After taking her home and loving her back to happiness, they noticed her belly getting bigger and bigger every day. They realized this sweet loving girl was pregnant and were not going to let this precious girl down. They committed to providing a safe birthplace for all her babies and to help her raise them in a safe, calm, loving home. These sweet babies have known nothing but love and security since the day they were born, Easter Sunday, 3/31/24, Right now, they all LOVE naps, mealtime, exploring new places, and cuddles.
