Jolene was surrendered by her owner when they were evicted and had to move in with family. She was a little sad and confused but now that she has been with her foster for a few weeks she is coming back into her own. She is a full package of snuggles and a really good little girl. She will sit next to you and watch TV or happily go out riding around town and is always up for a belly rub. Just wants to be with her people. She has had children and other dogs at her other family, and she has very good house manners. She just needs stability and love to be the great dog we know she can be. Jolene is up to date on her shots and has been spayed and microchipped. All she needs now is you! Bella was resqued as a puppy from upstate NY 8 years ago. I fell in love with her sweet nature. She did however develop a strong bond with my husband and basically became his pup. He had a severe accident last year and can no longer care for her. Due to the nature of his accident we can no longer provide the love, care and attention she needs. Hello Everyone! It’s me, Buddy! I bet you were wondering what I’ve been doing in the last 3 ½ months since I got to the Rescue. I’ve been doing A LOT! But first Ladies and Gentlemen, I have some important news… I think it’s time I started interviewing for a new family of my own. I know, right? I love my foster mom and fur brother and sisters, but I just KNOW there is some one out there JUST FOR ME! I think I’m ready to meet you and make you part of my family. Just a reminder about me, I’m 34lbs, about 5 years old, and I’m a Corgi/Dachsund mix – so I have short legs and a long nose! I’m up to date on all my shots and yes, I still hate the vet! I’m looking for a family who has no other dogs or if I really do have to share my new parents with another dog, then I prefer a larger dog that can handle my semi-rough play and can teach me what is expected of me & be understanding with me. We would just need to meet first so I know we like each other. I also would prefer a home with no young children (preferably no one under 16-18). I occasionally jump and I’m also not really trusting of these small humans. They move too fast, run around, and just make me feel very uncomfortable. Plus – they take my toys, go near my food, and sometimes accidentally hurt me. I’m sure you can understand. I need a strong but understanding parent who can be my leader but also learn to read my signals and understand my needs. It’s been a rough life and I want to share it with someone who understands I’m not perfect. I would prefer a fenced yard. I’m not that great on leash walking (I like to run ahead – it’s more fun) … But if you would take some time to teach me, I bet I would love to walk with you. I DO LOVE the car though, so buckle me in and get me a pup cup from Starbucks! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wheezy was surrendered to the shelter when her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. At 8 years old the shelter must be quite a scary place. She is a corgi mix who is 16 pounds.  Wheezy was very happy to get out of the shelter with us and cuddled up for a nice ride home.  She is good with both dogs and cats. Wheezy is well behaved in the home and can be left home without being destructive. Best news of all - she is house broken. She is a great girl and looking for a second chance family of her own. Wheezy has recently been diagnosed with Cushing disease which is being treated with daily medication. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Adoption Pending *** We cannot imagine how such a small young puppy was wandering all alone in a South Jersey neighborhood but that’s exactly what happened. Nugget was only 2-3 months old when he was found by animal control and brought to the shelter. Nugget was given veterinary care at the shelter and given his first round of shots. Nugget is only 9 pounds and has short legs but looks like a shepherd mix. We aren’t exactly sure what breed he is but he surely is cuddly and fun like all puppies are!! Nugget is in a loving foster home and will be neutered by us. He is looking for a loving family who will make sure he is never left on his own again!!
