Linda is a very sweet, little SATO from Puerto Rico. She is about 12 weeks old and will likely be under 30 pounds as an adult. She has a thick, soft coat and is super snuggly. She will make a great addition to any family! All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Sometimes we get the most unusual phone calls that prick our heart with the intensity of a desperate need, even if they are a thousand miles away. Trooper, and some of his friends from New Mexico have entered our world and we are trying to help. There's a rural shelter in a small town in New Mexico that very few people stop in to adopt. But yet, the drop offs continue to build, and adoptions do not match the number of dogs in the shelter. A very dedicated and passionate rescue woman that drives her own independent tractor trailer, moving loads of cargo in freight from state to state, from job to job, has learned that she must stop in at that shelter and check out what they have on the euthanasia list. She is an independent lady who champions the underdogs. She gave Critter Cavalry a call and told us about a number of small breed dogs that are under twenty pounds that needed a rescue to save them. Critter Cavalry signed up. Trooper is an adorable 6 month old small breed boy that we think is a Chiweenie. Trooper, is a beautiful boy who is six months old and weighs 8 pounds and will most probably top out as an adult boy at 15 pounds. He is cuddly, shy and great with other dogs. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Wheezy is about 10-11 years old and 16lbs. Wheezy is good with both dogs and cats. She is well-behaved in the home and can be left home without being destructive. The best news of all, she is housebroken. Wheezy has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and had a dental done where they needed to remove several of her teeth. Wheezy has recently been diagnosed with Cushing disease which is being treated with daily medication. OUR RESCUE WILL COVER THE COST OF HER MEDICATION. Wheezy will need an all adult, patient family.
