Story
Danny and I have spent many hours in the park and he loves to chase the ball and explore the trees and bushes. He is excellent at following directions, staying close to me and gets lots of attention from everyone that passes by. He is such an unusual and handsome boy. Danny is an avid chewer, as we have said before, and really needs plenty of bones and chew toys. We have also been working on his separation anxiety and it is almost gone completely. Danny needs a job or a playful companion. Since he still seems to have puppy in him, he plays hard and fast and needs either a high energy human/runner, or another high energy doggie to wear him out so he doesn't get bored and get into things he shouldn't. As I am updating this Danny is lying at my feet sound asleep! This is a wonderful dog that just needs a family to call his own. ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Millie also known as “Velcro” is the absolute best snuggle buddy ever! This sweet girl is great on a leash and she’s housetrained. She loves to chase the ball but hasn’t quite learned to bring it back … but when you are this cute who cares! When we first learned about Millie she had 2 adorable pups with her. Sadly an out of state rescue took her puppies and left Millie behind when they learned she was Heartworm positive. Thankfully we were able to help and since then Millie has been treated for Heartworms and spayed. She is now healthy, happy, and ready for a snuggle party with a forever family! Millie is approx 31 lbs and 2 years old. She is great with kids and other dogs. If you would like to meet Millie, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application. Story
Bua Loi is being fostered in LA. She loves cats, and can be good with quiet, calm dogs. She has been around a rabbit and has done well. She is heart worm positive and is undergoing treatment that will extend until this spring. Bua Loi came to us from a monastery in Texas! She was not in good shape when she first arrived there, but they nursed her back to health and reached out to us. Bua Loi has been in her foster home for several months now. She enjoys spending time outside and loves to prance like a show horse! She also loves to lay in front of the window and take sun baths. She enjoys being petted and getting attention, but is also ok when she's left alone. And she loves to eat! Playing games where she has to sniff for her food is one of her favorite activities. Bua Loi loves cats! In her previous home at the monastery, she adored their cat and they would lay and cuddle with each other. In her current foster home, she spends some time in a room with their rabbit, and she does very well. She also enjoys when there are foster cats who let her cuddle. Bua Loi's foster home is working on helping her get used to having other dogs around, but she can be a nervous dog and would do best in a calm house with quiet or older dogs or cats, or as an only dog, and with a patient family to help her adjust. Please fill out an adoption application if you are interested in Bua Loi! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Want a best friend who adores you, will always be by your side, and who thinks you hung the moon and the stars???? Meet Marigold!! She is absolutely the sweetest girl and loves her people more than anything in the world! Because of this, Marigold would do best in a home where her family is home more than not. Marigold needs slow introductions when meeting other furry friends but would do well with another calm dog. Marigold was found in a rural area along with 4 of her puppies back during an ice storm. Since she has been in her foster home, she has really bloomed! She is a smart girl and learned the doggie door quickly from her furry foster siblings. She is around 3 years old, 32 lbs., house-trained, and walks well on a leash. She rarely ever barks, sits on command and just longs to be by your side! Please note that we do not recommend Marigold to families with children under 5. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
