All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Story
Hi, I’m Shortay! I’m a sweet Corgi mix with a gentle heart. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a little time and I’ll warm right up. I get along well with other dogs and love getting attention from my people. I’m curious, affectionate, and quiet, and I’m looking for a patient family who will help me continue building my confidence. If you’re searching for a sweet companion who just needs a chance to shine, I may be the perfect match for you.

Story
Lincoln was born in Montana and rescued from the Humane Society at 6 months of age. Lincoln is house trained and is great with all ages. When we lived in Montana, he would join us on hikes off-leash and spent lots of time swimming in lakes. Lincoln loves to fetch anything, and will go as long as you let him. Above all, he enjoys spending time with people and loves to curl up at your feet. He is a great balance of playful and lazy. His one ailment is a front right paw deformity that has been present since birth. It doesn't slow him down, however, he will limp after extended hikes, sessions of fetch, or playtime with other dogs. Thus, we keep fetch and time with other dogs limited. Since relocating to TX we've been growing our family, making it difficult to take care of Lincoln and give him the attention he deserves. Lincoln would do best as the only pet in a household with people who are home most of the time, such as a retired couple who want a low maintenance and mild-tempered dog.

Story
After I was injured by a car, I was taken to the shelter & put on the “last call” list. Mini Mutts saved me from euthanasia.! I had pelvic surgery & am now TOTALLY HEALED & looking for a new home! • I’ve been told I am handsome & sweet. I like that. • I am a little cautious of strangers at first, but once I feel comfortable with you, I am a friendly boy! (treats win me over in 5 minutes!). • I prefer my yard to leash walks. • I do best in a calm home without too many new people coming in. • I am house trained and crate trained! • I would like another dog in the house & someone home more than not. Want to meet me? Email us : mini-mutts@outlook.com (Fosters/adopters must reside in the Dallas Metroplex or surrounding areas only) ONE WEEK HOME TRIAL BEFORE ADOPTING! ************************************************** * NO DOGS OVER 25 LBS * NO APARTMENTS * NO CHILDREN UNDER 8 YRS

Story
We adopted Shady from the Everman Animal Shelter about 7 years ago, making her about 9 now. She has been such a wonderful part of our family, but we’re living internationally now, and after trying to make it work, we felt that it wasn’t fair for her to be moving around all the time. She loves to stay at home! She’s extremely gentle, loving, and calm. We’ve had no problems with her and our daughter (now a toddler) since she was born, but I can tell that other little kids stress her out. She can be territorial over her things and spaces, making her an ideal guard dog, but not comfortable around other pets. As she is an older dog there are some habits that she’s had a tough time kicking, mainly barking when someone gets to the house, but I’m sure someone that’s better at dog training could help her get past that! She’s very smart and trainable and she loves to learn new things. We love this girl so much and she has been the best pet! Anyone would be lucky to take her home.
