Gemma is just over 1yo, maybe 25lbs, part fox, part cuddle bug, and 100% Good Girl. Gemma is still young so she loves to play and needs some mental enrichment to fight off boredom, but so far gets along great with dogs of all sizes and while we’re sure she'd love to have a playmate or two but she also plays well independently. She has a gentle, calm personality and is wonderful with children and other dogs, making her a great fit for families or multi-pet homes. Bella loves the simple joys of life: car rides, going on walks, relaxing at the beach, and getting endless belly rubs. She’s well-mannered, affectionate, and happiest when she’s near her people. Bella is looking for a loving home where she can continue to feel safe, included, and cherished. If you’re searching for a loyal, sweet companion who brings warmth and joy into every day, Bella is the perfect match.

Story
We received an email asking if we would take Oreo into Cody's from a local shelter. He was surrendered by his owner because of "allergies". It is FLEA allergies. He was covered. This poor dog is not only heartworm positive, filthy (had to live outside all of his days) and severely matted on his legs and behind. As you can tell he could not see, and has a large, infected lump on his side. He has been deeply neglected. He was scared out of his mind in the shelter and shut down. After getting him today he is sweet, loving and so very tired. He allowed us to pet all over him. We cut the hair out of his eyes and loved on him. He will be decompressing for awhile and resting and then we begin his health journey. We desperately need a foster. We will need money, too. He is precious and so worth it. He is about 5 years old and 25 lbs but doesn't look it. He is low to the ground. He is great with other dogs. Now that he has been in a foster home we have an update. His skin is much better and healing. He is so happy. We do not think he is 5 years old. We think he is more like 2 years old. He is playful and happy. He had to be completely shaved but will grow back quickly. ##2579501##

Story
Calvin was about to be put down at a local shelter when Cody's stepped in to rescue him and we're so  glad we did!!!.  Calvin has the sweetest temperament and is SO loyal.  He follows you from room to room no matter what's going on.  He is 2 to 3 years old and weighs 31 lbs.  He has the bluest eyes and is too cute for words.  Don't let the pictures fool you, Calvin looks grumpy in the pictures but is anything but.  He is a happy, easy going dog who gets along with everything.  He sleeps in the bed at night without making a sound.  Calvin does not like being in a crate; however, he is house brokken and well behaved.  He likes laying on he couch with you to  watch TV.    He rides well in the car and is always up for an adventure.  Calvin is built like a corgi but has a tail...he is possibly a Corgi/Border Collie Mix.  Calvin needs a home that truly makes him part of the family.  Note: This last picture is Calvin at the shelter.   ##2656059##

Story
Gus is 4 yrs old and a sweet dog, sensitive and a cuddler, but I adopted him with his brother at 2 mths from the same litter. At the time I was unfamiliar with littermate syndrome and they have been fighting since around 6-9 mths and it has progressively gotten worse and more frequent. I feel he would be best in a home with out children (he hasn't been around them much) or other dogs. He is reactive to people and other dogs. I've tried some different training on my own but it hasn't improved and I am worried about one of the dogs being injured seriously. I'm heartbroken but I live with my 85 year old Mom and she's unable to physically handle him and has almost fallen trying to break up fights. I will have his shots up to date before rehoming.

Story
Meet George! 🐾 George is a senior Pembroke Corgi with a big heart and an even bigger personality—he’s 47 pounds of pure love! This goofy, affectionate guy loves to communicate, explore at his own pace, and is motivated by food (treats are his love language). George is altered, crate trained, potty trained, and walks on a leash, making him a wonderful companion for the right home. He is house-trained and has a sweet, protective nature, though he can show some resource guarding, so he will do best with an experienced adopter who understands his cues and gives him the space he needs. Recently, George was diagnosed with advanced arthritis in his shoulders and front legs, so his mobility is limited to short walks in the backyard and around a few rooms in the house. Despite this, George remains curious, affectionate, and ready to enjoy life—he’s a master of snuggles, slow strolls, and plenty of goofy smiles. George would thrive in a calm, patient home that can accommodate his arthritis and appreciate the charm of a senior dog who just wants love, comfort, and a full belly. If you’re ready to give this sweet, quirky Corgi the retirement he deserves, George would love to meet you! ❤️

Story
Meet Falco 🐾⚡ Corgi mix | DOB November 2025 | Double Merle | Deaf Falco is the sweetest, sneakiest little corgi you’ll ever meet. He plays hard. He cuddles harder. And when he trots across the room with those bouncy ears flopping, you can’t help but smile. He just wants to be included in whatever you’re doing — even if that “whatever” is supervised mischief. Let’s be honest: he is very much a puppy. There are razor teeth in that adorable mouth and mischief in that tiny body. But there’s also a whole lot of heart. Falco came to us as an owner surrender and is a double merle, which means he is deaf. But here’s the beautiful part — deaf dogs do AMAZING with hand signals, routine, and positive reinforcement. They are incredibly attentive, visually focused, and deeply bonded to their people. Falco is already learning that communication doesn’t have to be heard to be understood. He’s making great progress every day. He’s still unsure about car rides, but he’s working on building confidence. He happily goes into his crate with a small treat and sleeps through the night like a champ. Smart boy behavior. Falco would thrive in a home that: Embraces puppy energy Is committed to positive, consistent training Understands (or is willing to learn about) living with a deaf dog Wants a playful sidekick who will keep life interesting He is equal parts chaos gremlin and snuggle bug. Zoom first. Nap later. Repeat. If you’re ready for a joyful, clever, special little corgi who just needs someone to show him the world in a way he can see and feel — Falco is ready to be your adventure buddy. 💙

Story
Meet Disco — a gentle, shy Corgi boy with the sweetest wiggle butt around 🐶✨ Disco came to NTASR from a puppy mill situation, so he’s still learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and at home. Because of that rough start, he can be a little timid at first — but every day he’s gaining confidence and showing just how special he is. Disco is puppy pad trained (about 95% accurate!) and has even started going potty outside when the weather allows — he’s only been in foster care about a week and has already made great progress (even through a freeze!). He does wonderfully with cats, completely ignoring his two feline foster siblings, and he loves kids — especially when they run around and chase him (it brings out his playful side and that famous Corgi wiggle butt!). Disco isn’t a big cuddler since he gets warm easily, but he absolutely loves attention and being near his people. He has an overall chill, quiet demeanor and is a joy to have around. He’s just beginning to find his bark when he hears unfamiliar noises or people, showing a little protective instinct as he settles in. He’s also discovering treats (and eats them very slowly — it’s adorable 🥹). Disco is affectionate, gentle, goofy, curious, playful, and calm — with so much potential as he continues learning about the world. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Disco is going to make an incredible companion and a truly amazing pet. 💙
