Story
Marigold is an adorable 2-year-old Corgi mix and weighs 26 lbs. She loves her humans so much and is always ready to greet them with a big smile and some tail wags. Marigold was found in a rural area along with 4 of her puppies back during an ice storm. Since she has been in her foster home, she has really bloomed! She is a smart girl and learned the doggie door quickly from her furry foster siblings. Marigold gets along well other animals but needs slow introductions and time to adjust. New situations can still be a little scary for her. Marigold is an affectionate gentle girl with a big, friendly personality. She loves belly rubs, running in the backyard, and most of all, she loves nothing more than spending time with her people. When she looks at you with her big golden brown eyes it melts your heart every time! If you are looking for the perfect “fun size” companion, then you will want to meet this cutie! We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
I rescued Chester when he was only 2 years old. He has been an amazing dog and has been my emotional support for the last 6 years. He will be your best friend through good and bad and always be there to make you laugh. He is great with other dogs and he has been around a cat as well. Chester has lived in mostly apartments with me outside of 2 years living on some property. I would love for him to go to a place with a yard so he can have space to get all his crazy energy out.

Story
Meet Barbie! This is Barbie. She is a high energy 6 month old brindle corgi puppy. She's very sweet. She loves to wag her tail, get belly rubs, and sit in your lap. Does well in the car and kennel. She sleeps through the night in her kennel. Loves to play tug and with tennis balls.Barbie did not appear to have any training when brought to Saving Hope. Improving on potty training, not jumping up, and not pulling on the leash. Can use continued training on coming back when called and can be difficult to catch outdoors without a leash as she is very playful. We would not recommend that she be off leash in an un-fenced area at this time. Also loves to dig. Typical loud corgi barks when excited. She can learn quickly with consistency. Will need continued work on socialization, further potty training, recall and exposure to new things like noises, nail trimming, grooming and more.Barbie does well with other dogs and wants to play with them but is continuing to learn good manners by not playing too roughly. Barbie does like to chase cats and needs ongoing work to change this behavior. Barbie may do well in corgi agility or scent work with additional training. She is spayed and working towards completing her puppy shot series. Very loving and happy girl.Would do best with an owner who is home frequently and owners with prior herding dogs experience because of her high energy level. As corgis are a herding breed, please know they can require 1 hour+ of exercise daily or have the potential to become destructive if not properly exercised and given enough mental stimulation. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Bunky came to me from a good friend who's dog had had a litter of puppies. Of the litter, he was the only one who didn't run off into the other room like his siblings. He wanted to be held by me, and I fell in love. Bunky is now 11-years-old. His birthday was in March. I have to give him up because I am moving to Tucson and most likely will not be able to find a place to live that will allow me to keep him. I am looking for someone who will understand that, at the age of 11, sometimes he is a grumpy old man, but he is a very affectionate dog. I hope for an adopter who will shower him with love because it will be a big adjustment for him. He is not particularly active these days. He used to be able to lay on the sofa next to me when I lived on my own. He would love to be able to do that again. I will attach a photo as soon as I can. If you are near south Fort Worth and would like to meet him, I could meet up with you for a meet and greet. Thank you for considering Bunky. He is precious
